how much ammo can a level 27 carry?

i just bought max ammo for all my cousins guns and hes level 27 and can carry almost 10,000 bullets for each gun, did R*change the amount of ammo you can carry?

You can be level 5 and still have 9,999 ammo capacity as long as your shooting skill is maxed. This question really didn't need its own thread, it could have easily been answered in the GTAO Q&A pinned topic.

Old thread but wanted to give thanks for this answer. Created a new character and have been working to rank them up and could not understand why the ammo count would not go up. I have been avoiding shootouts with other players and haven't played any DMs or Survivals with this character. Looks like I'll be doing that tonight.

 

By the way, how many Survivals or DMs do you normally have to do to get the 9999 ammo amount?
