While I hate the tank in GTA, your thread is well made and constructive.

 

I honestly would love to have new tanks in GTA but I don't see it as immersive. One tank is enough, having two would need a bigger military presence in the game.

 

Firstly, Thank you mate! Second, As the First Tank belongs to the guys at Fort Zancudo the Second [New] Tank could say be from Merryweather. So we already have a bigger military presence in game.

If Merryweather had a tank, it would probably be some sort of black APC. Maybe with a turret.

Or a small tank like Ballad of Gay Tony had.

I already suggested a Tank Mine in my OP. Tank Mine would be great and say 2 mines would be enough to destroy the tank. Atm, You need like 7 rocket launcher shots to the back of the tank to blow it up and 15 to the front to blow it up. If the tank goes over a mine it would do 50% damage instantly so if it goes over 2 mines the tank would go boom.

I wish you could blow off the tracks with c4 or rpgs. Also wouldn't it be cool to be able to damage the gun ammo rack or turret. I know this isnt wot but its fun to see a crippled tank. Also the tank destroyer would be fun cuz the leopard 2a3 has thin armor 1 to 2 shots with it and the tank would be dead

Fackeen' oresum. Brilliant for more intense cop-chases (or just for dicking with heavy traffic). And a decent way to deal with tanks, in a way that still requires a bit of tactical wherewithal to pull off (anti-tank mines being useless if your target doesn't actually drive over the damn things, obviously...).

Granted, from a functional perspective there's really no need to add another tank (although considering that most helicopters/light aircraft are also comparable, it wouldn't be unprecedented).

However, a decent APC (like the N.O.O.S.E. one from TBoGT) would kick all kinds of ass - and I imagine it'd come in rather handy for certain team missions (or heists, perhaps).

I Kind off still wanted a tank in GTA 4 and they gave us the APC. It was a cool death machine but still I like the tank. I guess they could add a different looking APC.

 

 

Something like that. 4 Wheels and heavy armour but light on guns. PS: The below APC looks extremely cool.

I love going into a lobby hearing crying on mics and turn on my tv to watch tank drama on the tv. I might even put a bounty to encourage people to go looking for the guy in the tank and to their surprise he's in a tank and they can't reverse out of their fast enough before getting blown up
