I know for a fact I'm not the only one upset by this. Cops 'n Crooks was hands down the best game mode in my opinion (aside from Free Mode) that was in GTA IV. Just imagine the possibilities for this game mode in GTA Online... The crooks 'getaway' vehicle could be a passenger jet along with the traditional helicopter and boat.

 

You guys think that this legendary game mode isn't in GTA Online due to map size? Also, weapons aren't scattered around the map like they were in GTA IV so that could be another reason but I doubt it.

 

"Keep CnC alive!" ~ That's a lot of Xbox 360 CnC players motto on their profile. Ha!

When you had been on both sides on Cops n Crooks you knew what your enemy would do.Some cops would just camp at the crooks getaway vehicle waiting for them to show up.I dont think it was designed to be played this way..

With the exception of it making amusing content from AH Let's Plays, I found it an extremely dull mode in 4. Haven't really shed a tear at it's failure to appear in V.

Just give us an option to turn off those annoying cops in invite only sessions and everything'll be ok....(FM was much better that way in IV)

I guess my experience has been different.

 

I played GTA IV Multiplayer right up until the release of GTAO. Cops 'N Crooks, along with Free Mode and Races, was one of the most well-used modes.

GTA 4 free roam doesn't even have strippers online.. It has NOTHING. Nothing but pick up weapons...and attack choppers.

I dont remember cops n crooks, but if you want some cops n robbers fun, get some friends, make teams, and one team goes robbing stores while the other team in cop cars or whatever tries to take the thieves down

The getaway scenarios were few and easy to memorize so players would spawn as Cops and go camp at the crooks' getaway vehicle..

Not every feature from every previous iteration is going to carry over....because if that was the case we'd still have top-down views.

 

CnC is fun, and that's a reason to keep playing IV. Carrying it over renders the prior useless.

We have golf,tennis,darts,strip clubs,arm fights and no one ever does them except once.GTA IV Free Mode also had interiors which were fun

I have noticed recently that many GTAO players, specifically those who frequent this section, have barely even touched IV Multiplayer (and therefore never truly experienced Cops 'N Crooks). OP, keep in mind next time that people from this section will bitch and moan over any proposal that isn't heists or mansions.

Not true.. players play it all the time but at least it exists. We also have MOVIES and safe houses, gun shops, pvs and clothing. Theres alot more things going on that i don't feel like listing them all.

 

GTA 4 free roam was boring and dull mainly because that was the best R* could to at the time. Every free roam i was in always ended up with player in attack choppers trolling everyone. Thats why i stopped playing...

Guilty as charged. I have played every GTA since the original in the nineties, but I didn't discover online gaming until around COD:MW2 or so. I had IV, but had let my little brother borrow it by that point, so I never got online. I was legitimately asking the question, and to my knowledge, have not bitched about heists nor mansions to date.
