I don't know what the other slots are for... so you could create another character in some years, because your level 453er is bored? They should have been unlocked since launch, what is R* waiting for? Maybe they'll sell them as DLC in future, to have the honor to level up once again.

hmm maybe RPG-Players would like to create different skin colored chars but for most of the community i see no point in making a 3rd char beside a male & female char on slot 1 & 2…

 

i would love to see new character models like in previous games… thin or fat… sporty or… junked… that would be nice...

maybe the release DLC-Char models from other GTA/R* Games for 4.99-9.99$ if they accept that the shark-card model is down to death?

they could do great with a bit of inspiration… but i doubt they will be special at all… just a another slot for the current models : /

They're additional character slots that R* will either unlock for free at a later date or will ask for payment to unlock them at a later date.

Maybe they are unlocked once GTAO becomes what it should have been from the start with more stuff unlocking at lower levels.

Actually, someone suggested (not sure where I read it first) that they might be used for DLC expansion characters (imagine TL&TD's Johnny Klebitz as an example - thus allowing you to select DLC from SP free-roam using the character select wheel) , although that wouldn't make sense for those slots to be in the GTAO character menu...

 

More likely is that due to the problems with character wipes in the initial stages (often due to people accidentally creating new characters over existing slots), R* locked them down, and haven't prioritised unlocking them yet.

Maybe when R* releases new DLC in a different state, it will have to be with a different character. Only logical reason I could think of.
