V is the best in the series (My Review)

Loading screen for lots of interiors > no loading screen for only a few interiors.

Thankfully that'll be fixed next-gen.

And I disagree, as V has way more than a few.

I counted the interiors on the interiors debate thread, the amount of interiors in GTA V is very close to the amount in GTA IV, the fact that they are more spread out give the illusion that there are only a few.

Loading screen for lots of interiors > no loading screen for only a few interiors.

It kills the immersion IMO. It was fine for the older games because we weren't used to, nor aware, of the advanced capabilities of the succeeding platforms.

You get my point though.

I love the way we can walk into an interior in real time with no loading screen, & see the world outside through the windows.

Yes there are quite a few interiors in V. More than most people think, but compared to the size of the map, there are relatively few. Slightly less interiors than IV, but a way bigger map.

I'm sure most of us would happily put up with a loading screen to gain access to some of the larger interiors like the Rockford Plaza, Bollingbroke Penitentiary, Maze Bank Arena, LS Airport, Kortz Centre, Galileo Observatory, LS Golf Club, the Playboy Mansion, You Tool hardware store, The Clucking Bell factory, the sound stages at the Backlot City Studios etc, etc, etc.

I just feel R* didn't get the ratio of quality versus quantity right. Sometimes more is better, even if we have to give up real time entry to these interiors. Just my view though.

EDIT. By the way, the loading screen doesn't have to be a black screen with a spinning hour glass.

Something like the loading scene when you enter Los Santos Customs is perfect. It gives the game time to load the interior & mods for the vehicle you drove in with, but doesn't take away from the immersion at all.

I do get your point, but I still disagree with it.

Loading screens just completely break the flow and immersion of the game. If we had loading screens for every GTA game, and it was nothing new, then it wouldn't be a problem. However, R* spoiled us lol.

I agree with the immersion & flow, but not being able to enter a building does more harm to the immersion & flow than waiting a few seconds for a loading screen IMO.

The loading screen can be a loading scene, if you know what I mean.

I edited my post above & included the Los Santos Customs loading scene as an example. I think it works well & could be incorporated for some of the larger interiors I mentioned. I would accept that as a good trade off.

Yup, that'd be much, much better.

If it was a loading scene, I'd be all for it.

It'd still be a change, but it'd be a lot more bearable.

A loading screen? No. A loading scene? I'll do that.

The faces are getting me man lol

This next-gen evolution of GTA (a franchise that have spanned 4 Generations of Consoles PS1/PS2/PS3/PS4-Xbox/Xb360/Xb1) will be Jaw-dropping,plus GTA could learn some things from it "Clones" esp. Watch-Dogs...

Side Note:Damn it will be a heck of a competition next-gen between GTA and WD in terms of gameplay features,Scope and Innovations (but not in Sales,Success and Receptions) lol i wouldnt be surprise i Rockstar creates a Sub-Franchise out of GTA just to compete with WD.

Watch Dog isn't a clone.

Anyways there's more to games than just draw-dropping graphics
