Why Would you Want A Mansion anyway

oh man... hovering above your mansion (off radar) waiting for you to leave in your boat or chopper would be my favorite sport!

 

we'll never have personal homes or mansions because it wouldn't work with people owning the same property.

 

even if they opened up 20 "houses" for players to buy, only 4 of them would be popular, & it would the same as the Eclipse Towers battlefield.

 

offsite garages seem like the only logical move. Crew HQ's would be great, but again everyone will want the same building, so it will most likely never happen.

The Lenny avery website is used specifically for a set of singleplayer missions (destroy signs) so I wouldn't get my hopes up for mansions. Just give me my second garage In paleto bay/sandy shores and I'm fine.

Because I just like having a property I can drive up to with a cool little driveway and hopefully enter from multiple sides of the property. If only they would allow us to use helipads it would be perfect.

With the Spring Update maybe coming tomorrow, Many of you have been excited about buying a Mansion, however when i read the about the update

it reads = "The High Life Update will allow you to expand your foothold in Los Santos with new high-end apartment options, the powerful Bullpup Rifle,yada yada yada"

It says High-end Apartment Options" not new high-end Apartments and nothing is said about Mansions

Maybe something has been said or posted elsewhere so i wont go into debate over the topic, because we will find out soon enough

 

But if the ones of you thinking Mansions will be part of the update..........My question is why is it such a big deal

 

I have owned the game since the last day of October,

My Character(s) have lived in every variation of property that is currently for sale, the only two things that are a deciding factor for me when buying property is

1. garage space

2. location to areas i enjoy driving around in on the map

 

I spend little to no time inside my Apartment or Garage....the run from my bathroom or bedroom is normally the longest i spend inside it

 

Yes the high-end apts are nice inside, and so are some of the Mansions we have access to in story mode

BUT other than invite your friends over and walk around what can you do inside them.....watch TV,drink whiskey, take a hit from a bong, drink wine, drink the green juice .....take a showers, change clothes and go to bed.all i can say is wow.......none of these activities have ever been something that made me want to fire up the game or even stay inside the Apt when playing

 

even if you invite several friend over there is nothing offered except chatting without the fear of dying

 

Maybe if you could do some mini games inside like Poker, Blackjack, Darts... something it might make the living quarters more desirable to stay in

Hell if i could bring a prostitute home and bang her brains out in my own bed that would be something

 

The game is driven around missions that take place outside the Apt, in the 6 months i have played i have never heard anyone chatting about wanting to Move to this or that location, other than trading up to get a bigger garage, 99.999% of the time if players in free mode are looking for something its a Vehicle

 

I am looking foward to the new update and what it adds......from new furniture or wall colors.....even tho i spend little to no time inside, I do hope some better properties (garages) are offered outside the city as i enjoy the country for goofing off

 

 

 

Why do I want a Mansion? Because I want one.

 

I'd like to see customizable properties. Much in the same that we can buy clothing, modify cars, etc., apply that to our properties. Want a helipad at your place? Want a nicer TV? Want to decorate? Want to mount the head of your enemies over the fireplace? Then its gonna cost.

Same reason a second apartment would (for me) need a different interior - I do spend a bit of time messing around with the various features, or when I'm fiddling around with in-game messages, options, planning stuff, etc., but an identical orange/tan/cream pad to my current one would be a waste of time.

That, and there are only so many high-end apartment locations - but if R* added something comparable to Madrazo's Vinewood mansion, or Michael's family home in Rockford Hills (with a similar interior style)? Not likely that R* would do so, but it'd be a cool add, and I'd definitely consider buying one as a second safehouse.

Why I want mansions,

 

I want more space for cars,

 

A space for heli at the roof,

 

A space for boat at the back, which means mansions to the water,

 

Can get nice pics in my garden with my cars.

 

A mini game for interior design would be perfect for mansion too...

Its a part of the roleplaying in the game, you start from nothing, first you live in your car, then a small apartment then an expensive loft & eventually a mansion hopefully

Ok so apparently I'm the only one that has thought of this....imagine houses have a virtual dome around them, owners can land, drive into the gates etc but once you pass the dome you're alone, when guests come it's just like the buzzer system where someone has to let you in or you need "permission to land"

 

Multiple people owning the same house would be decreased if the houses were introduced all around the same price without a clearly more expensive one and if you do own the same house you just go into it cause let's not forget it's a video game and I don't really care if someone has the same house as me as long as we're not roommates lol

 

3rd in a game that's all about becoming a badass and owning the best of guns/cars/vehicles/properties you ask why you would want a mansion? Think about it lmao why does anyone buy any plane other than the mallard or any boat other than the seashark...cause that's the point of gta, that's always been the point of gta even in story modes...start with nothing and work till you have everything

Mansion interiors will be too much for these fools to even make, it probably most likely wouldn't even make sense. It runs the risk of all looking the same inside with a 2 car garage on the outside but somehow fits ten cars.

If mansions get released we'll at least be able to own two properties (probably three at that point), so a two car garage on a mansion won't be an issue. People will store their most expensive vehicles there (or cheapest ones to be smart-asses).

Did you player single player at all? Did you do the Strangers and Freaks missions? That is where the website comes from.

 

Some idiot with a Youtube channel is the reason why we even have this rumor. More then likely we will not get Mansions.

Why do people keep saying the spring update? They clearly state that there will be multiple updates. You clearly read the newsfeed since you are quoting it. They say first update will include capture creator. Future updates will include the high life update, After that heist update....
