Why Would you Want A Mansion anyway

i dont want a mansion, i want a garage and a apartment without world war 3 outside of my door, im moving out of eclipse towers when the update hits and just buy a cheap apartment to plan heist and another garage

As for the Title why would you want a mansion, a better question would be why don't you want a mansion all the apartments aside from the cheap ones look exactly the same. I think mansion will definitely spice things up a bit and make garage glitching a little less prone to happen, or random retards who think camping your garage with sticky is funny.

How would having mansions stop garage glitching and campers? And as far as I've seen, no mansion in the game has bigger than a 4 car garage, how is that more space than a 10 car?

 

If mansions were ever released online I think nerdrage would reach an all-time high. People will spend millions, only to find mansions to be just as boring as the high end apartments, and probably won't spend any more time in them than they do now. I think glitching and duping will reach their peak if mansions are released, since most of you don't seem to want to work for it, R* probably knows it too.

1st: first things first if there was more houses a person would have a way less chance of running into someone doing the glitch which in turn would make someone less prone to falling victim to it, i never said it would stop it. Please at-least take the time to read my post before you decide to douche on it

 

2nd: Are you stupid? 4 plus ten equals 14 that's 4 more car spaces then i last had, if i bought 3 houses i could have 18 cars and yes your aloud to own more then one place.

When I first moved from the small $89k apt to Eclipse Towers, that was the first thing I noticed. Inside the cheaper apt, it only took a few seconds to access everything. TV, bong, closet/wardrobe. Once I got inside of Eclipse Towers, to change clothes I had to walk down, like, four flights of stairs, then over to the closet. THEN, I had to walk all the way back. It took several times longer. I can only imagine how much longer it'll take to access the same features when you have to traverse a mansion in it's entirety...

A space for boat at the back, which means mansions to the water,

I like the Idea of a Heli Pad and/or adding Hangers/Warehouses for Pegasus Vehicles

 

This 2 garage doors can be entrance and as mentioned it will be same logic with your garage now. My apartment is at weasel plaza and the garage is so short from outside to fit 5 cars next to each other plus service room at the back but in game the cars ar ein the garage.

 

Like in the pic I shared this would be 2 entrance for garages each can store 10 cars...

Why not just have the option to have a separate garage from the mansion, like Michael and Franklin? Then you can just store one or two in the garage on location, and put the rest in a random nearby garage. This is implying that r* even cares that much about making garages realistic.

prolly won't see mansions in GTAO b/c of problems associated with players owning the same house and having to sort that out during match making... the illusion of home ownership is much easier to pull off with apartments.

 

a phat condo tower on the north end of the island would be a nice addition (daydream), but honestly any new apartment locations that are not within site of other existing properties will be welcomed.

It would be a refreshing change if you were the type to hang out in the apartment for sure, but how many people really do that? Aside from spawning, I think I've gone into my apartment twice during a session to see what there was to do in it, and that was when I first bought the high end one. Other than that I'll go in the garage when I'm going AFK, that's about it. Maybe the people who want them so bad really do hang out in them, that would be the only reason I could think of. I just don't see it happening, sorting out "joint ownership" of the same mansion in a session just seems way beyond the realm of R*'s capabilities thus far, it's wishful thinking at best.

Even though I like the idea of owning a mansion, in the end I think were better of with apartments. It would look ridiculous seeing people driving into the same drive-way as you and walking into the same house. For apartments it doesn't really matter.

 

I would much rather a 100 car warehouse than a mansion any day though.

I can see them adding mansions because why wouldn't they? It'd be kind of boring if you ask me, because what are you going to do with all that when all you'd get is a bong, a TV, wine/whiskey/glass of green, a bed, a shower, and a closet. Same stuff you get everywhere else, just with a longer jog between them.

 

I want the crappy apartment but with a heist room, and a 10 car that looks like the crummy 6 car.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere on the forum. The way I see a mansion with multiple people owning the same one is if there was a gated community model. The game would go to a cutscene at the gate, then you go to one of the 3(?) available mansions in the community. But I haven't studied Los Santos enough to see if there is a gated community.

I just hate this excuse. I mean, you're right that a mansion wouldn't be able to (REALISTICALLY) hold 10 cars but this is a game. If we're gonna use the realism excuse, then you have to take in account of the other issues present in the game. Anyway, so what if the garage space of a mansion looks small from the outside? They could just port over the existing 10 car garage system from the apartments and have them used in the same way.

 

Or if you're not satisfied with that, what they could do for mansions is have like 4 or 6 cars that fit in the garage and then have the ability to have another 4 cars spawn on the street(but only one spawns at a time when selected from the menu). So it will be as if they were parked on the curb in front of the mansion,since there is more space on the street for additional cars.

There's gates at the mansion's driveways, but then you'd have to eliminate the ability to hide on the property and roam around. The only way I can see them being purposed is like a "gang hideout", where you take them over like a "capture" type situation, and allow you to conduct game operations from them as long as you control them during a session. Otherwise there'd be conflicting restrictions to gameplay by allowing ownership of them, given the current dynamic of these properties as is.

I'm of the same opinion actually, I think it's cool that they're offering more garage space to the large number of people who wanted it, but I personally don't see the need for it at the moment. And reading through your response to his first post, it was you who resorted to insults initially good sir. I believe you led off and closed with one, in fact.
