Why Would you Want A Mansion anyway

With the Spring Update maybe coming tomorrow, Many of you have been excited about buying a Mansion, however when i read the about the update

it reads = "The High Life Update will allow you to expand your foothold in Los Santos with new high-end apartment options, the powerful Bullpup Rifle,yada yada yada"

this is from the newswire

 

It says High-end Apartment Options" not new high-end Apartments and nothing is said about Mansions

Maybe something has been said or posted elsewhere so i wont go into debate over the topic, because we will find out soon enough

 

But if the ones of you thinking Mansions will be part of the update..........My question is why is it such a big deal

 

I have owned the game since the last day of October,

My Character(s) have lived in every variation of property that is currently for sale, the only two things that are a deciding factor for me when buying property is

1. garage space

2. location to areas i enjoy driving around in on the map

 

I spend little to no time inside my Apartment or Garage....the run from my bathroom or bedroom is normally the longest i spend inside it

 

Yes the high-end apts are nice inside, and so are some of the Mansions we have access to in story mode

BUT other than invite your friends over and walk around what can you do inside them.....watch TV,drink whiskey, take a hit from a bong, drink wine, drink the green juice .....take a showers, change clothes and go to bed.all i can say is wow.......none of these activities have ever been something that made me want to fire up the game or even stay inside the Apt when playing

 

even if you invite several friend over there is nothing offered except chatting without the fear of dying

 

Maybe if you could do some mini games inside like Poker, Blackjack, Darts... something it might make the living quarters more desirable to stay in

Hell if i could bring a prostitute home and bang her brains out in my own bed that would be something

 

The game is driven around missions that take place outside the Apt, in the 6 months i have played i have never heard anyone chatting about wanting to Move to this or that location, other than trading up to get a bigger garage, 99.999% of the time if players in free mode are looking for something its a Vehicle

 

I am looking foward to the new update and what it adds......from new furniture or wall colors.....even tho i spend little to no time inside, I do hope some better properties (garages) are offered outside the city as i enjoy the country for goofing off

but if mansions did come to online i highly doubt that u would be able to put 10 cars in carage ,,, seen as mansions normally have small carages

i dont want a mansion, i want a garage and a apartment without world war 3 outside of my door, im moving out of eclipse towers when the update hits and just buy a cheap apartment to plan heist and another garage

Only the capture creator has been specifically declared to be coming this week.

 

The apartments offer nothing as far as gameplay up to this point.

 

I also doubt that individual homes will ever be available to us though I very much wish they were. I believe it would add a lot to the world feeling if 50-75% of the individual homes were rentable. People would vary greatly in where they choose to live.

The Mount Gordo lighthouse house is all I want. The closest thing to a mansion I would want is one of the condos on Vespucci Beach like CJ had. I've been biking around town finding likely new apt locations. If there is a proper thread somewhere I'll put up some pix of my top suspects.

I don't know what the big deal with mansions is either. I want more garage space and I'd like it outside of Los Santos. If we had a closet in our garages I'd be all set.

Since they've announced all the updates for spring, we won't get mansions in the next few months, and they probabaly won't come out later on anyway. I would like to be able to live around the map or even if we can choose to live around the vinewood hills, because there's nothing special about apartments since everyone owns the same ones, whilst we could be given many different options for homes and mansions, and you'll rarely find people living in the same house or mansion as you unless it's the most expensive one.

As for the Title why would you want a mansion, a better question would be why don't you want a mansion all the apartments aside from the cheap ones look exactly the same. I think mansion will definitely spice things up a bit and make garage glitching a little less prone to happen, or random retards who think camping your garage with sticky is funny.

They said the Capture Creator is coming this week. My guess is maybe the 15th for Spring update. That gets it out a few days before Easter so you can get all your Easter and/or spring themed goodies.

I haven't saw a mansion that had more than a two car garage yet??

I like the Idea of a Heli Pad and/or adding Hangers/Warehouses for Pegasus Vehicles

I see it as more of a status symbol then anything else just like the current folks who have every super car in the game in their garage. The need to be better then others I guess.

 

Me personally give me a nice house like Franklin has in the Hills with a nice two car garage and customizable interior and I will gladly tell you to stick your empty useless mansions.

Mansions, patterned wallpaper, little sofas and stuff, pets, relationships and marriages.

Honestly they couldn't have picked a better time to come out with this update since my current ten car garage is almost full, only got 1 space left. I haven't heard anything about them adding a heli pad or dock but that would be really cool.

 

 

 

Also i don't think the high life update comes out until april 20th not a 100% on that more like 99.9

Having nicer homes in other locations even with smaller garages would work as tradeoffs. Assuming I could have two I would definately consider a high end home like Franklins with a 10 car garage in the city.

How would having mansions stop garage glitching and campers? And as far as I've seen, no mansion in the game has bigger than a 4 car garage, how is that more space than a 10 car?

 

If mansions were ever released online I think nerdrage would reach an all-time high. People will spend millions, only to find mansions to be just as boring as the high end apartments, and probably won't spend any more time in them than they do now. I think glitching and duping will reach their peak if mansions are released, since most of you don't seem to want to work for it, R* probably knows it too.

I'd just like to live in paleto bay. Not fussed about garage space as I only have 8 cars in my current garage anyway.

Mansions will happen soon. The Lenny avery site on the browser makes me think so.
