Quarter Mile

Using the Race Creator you can set up a 1/4 mile test track. The only downsides: you can't publish it because the race is too short, you can only test the track with stock cars, and the time isn't definitively recorded for you to see clearly the exact time you received.

The plus side? You can pretty easily see the final time with the naked eye and do some of your own testing.

No one will believe your results, but you can run your own trials and see what you come up with.

Holding the accelerator for the whole countdown for a burnout launch I clocked the following times*:

Adder: 12.94-12.96s

Bullet: 13.51-13.53s

Cheetah: 13.04-13.08s

Entity XF: 12.62-12.63s

Infernus: 12.68-12.72s

Vacca: 13.65-13.69s

Voltic: 12.19-12.23s

Turismo R: 12.77-12.79s

9F Cabrio: 13.03-13.07s

For the bikes, holding forward on the left stick and holding the accelerator for the countdown**:

Akuma: 12.45-12.47s

Bati 801: 13.32-13.34s

Bati 801RR: 13.32-13.33s

Double-T: 13.25-13.26s

Ruffian: 13.43-13.45s

Vader: 14.39-14.40s

Faggio: 25.43s-25.48s

*

I've noticed with the gas-on-go boost out of the Infernus, Turismo R, Entity XF and Adder they all clock in around 11.5 seconds. Akuma scored an 11.19s with boost. Bati 801RR came in best at 11.75s. Voltic won with 10.97s: the only vehicle to break an 11 second quarter mile. Surprised?

**

There are faster ways to launch motorcycles (without gas-on-go boost) using wheelies but it's inconsistent, best recorded times: 11.68-11.96s on the Akuma, 12.26-12.71 for the Bati 801RR.

Your results may vary because I do need to make a tiny steering input on my course and the very beginning has a slight incline, so my results are probably a bit on the slower side. My methodology for this test, holding the accelerator and burning out at launch, is also less than ideal. Try making your own and seeing what results you end up with.

TL;DR: My Leaderboard:

1. Voltic
2. Akuma
3. Entity XF
4. Infernus
5. Turismo R
6. Adder

7. 9F Cabrio
7. Cheetah
8. Double-T
9. Bati 801/RR
10. Ruffian
11. Bullet
12. Vacca
13. Vader

Good work dude.

I know the quarter mile is like a standard test, but you could still publish a track with the minimum distance and your leaderboard will still be valid. This way you could test fully modded cars. I imagine this wouldn't effect the leaderboard as mods probably improve the performance of all vehicles equally but it would be interesting.

If you need a good location, the tunnel under zancudo should be long and straight enough and it's completely flat.

Useless test since you didn't include the difference between results with chrome or without chrome.

You don't have a link to the race in the other thread, could I get one? Did you make it for PS3?

Too bad you didnt include the RH8, you'd have your winner!
