Knewb Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 I've been in a few online games where a guy steals a car and gets a bounty on them for $5000. and he stops the car and gets out and someone one his crew/a friend kills him and collects.Or the player just runs away to his Apt. and hangs out there for the whole game till their time is up. This needs to change and i have a few idea's how this can be done. 1. Friends and Crew members can not collect on the bounty. If they are on a private server/ Clan server/ Invite only server, the bounty will remain till you go on a public server. 2. It's only money. Change it so after the bounty survives the time limit, the player will get the cash {5000} and half the cash payout as RP{2500} making it a good reason to stay alive. Who ever kills the bounty only gets the cash. 3. Bounty Hunters!!! For the people that like to hang out in the Apt. and wait out the time, the bounty hunters{NPC/A.I.} bust down the door to the Apt throwing flashbangs and tazering the bounty and who ever gets in the way. Also if they are on the run the bounty hunters show up with chase vehicles and join the hunt. 4. So you got captured by the bounty hunter. Now it's your crews/ friends turn to rescure you, where they stop and get you out of the van/truck before the hunters drop you off in the jail cell 5. You or your crew can pay the bail {5000} to be let free or you can rot in jail. Every $1000 is a minute. 6. The bounty hunters go up in level. For every bounty they put behind bars for the for that platform PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox one, the cost of the bounty is the RP/EXP for the bounty hunters. LVL 1 could be two or three guys with piantball guns to stun driving a van. LVL 10 they are up to five guys and have flash-bangs and tazers. LVL 50 20 guys, a heli dropping a crew of hunters off on the roof of the Apt and rappling down, busting out the windows and for fast work an attack buzzard with a EMP stun as the missle to stop the cars and/or a guy sitting in the back with a .50 cal rifle shooting at the wheels. REXX Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Some of it sounds great, though some of it also sounds a little "not right". That said, its good to see and read peoples ideas! If this were ever to be made by Rockstar (just saying), I believe players would be too much the same, its most likely everyone would become a bounty and run around killing other players, making it after a while, tiring. Rappeling down walls would be a nice addition to the game! LVL 100 ???? Hiding in your apartment stops the timer, this was added in patch 1.09 I think. I'm mostly neutral on friends collecting, I don't see it as being fundamentally different from me just letting the first player I come across collect it as I can't be bothered with an hour long chase. 1. Some folks only play on private servers. They shouldn't have to choose between playing in a private game how they want and having a perma-bounty or going off into a pub game just to lose the bounty. 2. You do get some RP for surviving the bounty. Why shouldn't the person who may have spent up to the last 47+ minutes chasing the bounty get any RP for collecting a bounty when you get a small amount for killing the unbountied? 3. There should be some kind of counter to apt hiding regardless of the stopped timer. The mechanics of a breach would be cool but would totally be exploited glitchers getting into everyone's apartments. I am also guessing you're suggesting AI bounty hunters which sounds very similar to the Merryweather Mercs. Also, AI shouldn't be able to do anything related to bounty collection. The bounties are there to force player interactions and having AI swoop in and collect it is BS to any player that wanted that money. Having them as a service call like MW Mercs would likely negate the bounty with its price, mercs are $7500. 4. The capture and rescue sounds like fun but look at the police, the AI only captures players in body bags. It could work out like a free roam version of Bust Out. It would have to work differently than getting 1 star busted in SP though. You lose all your guns when you get arrested in SP, I am willing to re-buy and upgrade all my guns again exactly 0 times. 5. Why can't they organize a jailbreak? Tactics with the different weapons would be fun as well, but I seriously doubt flash bangs, tazers and EMPs will ever come into play. Think of the vast griefing potential of all of those outside the context of a mission or your apartment breach. I like the idea of progressively harder waves of AI enemies, that is something that could be added to those mercs to make them more interesting and maybe even somewhat of a threat to higher levels. Sorry if it comes off as attacking or whatever, really I am just super bored and this gave me something to do for 15 minutes.
