Are Higher Level Players Targets?

Recommended Posts

I recently hit level 120 and find that I'm often the highest level in a session.

A lot of lower levels, I guess, consider me a target because I'm finding I can't tool around without some toolbag level 17 or 24 chasing me around or shooting me coming out of LSC.

My question is whether others have experienced this and how do you handle it?

Tonight I felt kind of badly for eviscerating a level 24 about a dozen times because he just. kept. coming. back!!

Just curious, is all.

Oh, and here's that creepy Willem DaFoe picture you asked about. Stare into the eyes. THE EYES!!

yes, usually see stickies flying all over the place. or people group together to kill you.

It gets annoying real quick.

Yeah I hit 120 today and I'm usually the highest level some people try to mess with me but I just vaporize them with my minigun, stickies, and RPG

They have always been my first targets in a lobby. When my friend comes on, we grab an attack chopper and look for bounties. If there are none, we place 1k on the highest rank and proceed to claim it. Then we move on to the next level. It's just business.

I like to find lobbies where all the players are below 70 so I can tank grief everybody knowing that they have no way way of defending themselves.

In my defence, the lower levels are the most aggressive and would have tried to kill me anyway.

I had some level 20 asshole put a 9K bounty on me as soon as I drove out of my garage the other day. No other reason than "Yolo!"

Sent him a message thanking him for the free money and switched to a private lobby.

Low level & high level players have always been the targets.

It's always funny when a low level player tries to grow some brass balls and go after high level players.

Don't feel bad, they're just trying to help you raise your K/D

one time i had a (i think) lvl 5 or 6 player who killed me once then after i respawned he kept trying to kill me again (he failed).

I think its the opposite, as people dont seem to attack me as much as when i was a lower level.

Also do people check the K/D ratio of other players in session and does that affect who you go after?

I'm level 137 in my 1st character and 140 on my second. And yeah but what I find as the most annoying thing is that they kick me out from the activities.

Absolutely, especially in f*cking MP lobbies. I get kicked a lot in races.

I dunno, for me it's the opposite. I recently hit 200+ and people seems to steer away from me more than anything.

The only thing I noticed at level 117 was getting kicked from deathmatches and races.

I never really look at peoples level in free roam as it is just as easy to kill a level 200 as a level 120. Even at 120 with mx health you can still go down easy enough from a low level with an AK.

You're very lucky if you are in a deathmach filled of low levels with low K/D ratio, as soon as it finish, your ratio will be +.9 more!

LOL, that's what my friend used to do. Everytime I'd invite him in a lobby he'd be like "what's the highest rank" and If it was below 70 he would join and he'd have me put a bounty on him for 9,000 while he's in his take and then he's proceed to spawn kill everyone that comes after him.

Sadly, my friend doesn't play anymore because there's nothing to do, no new objectives he says so he's gonna wait for heists :(

I have the same issue these days too

I always saw some guy shot me for no reason, so I fight back, when I am free to press down from my d-pad, WTF, level 12?

I'm level 141 and don't usually get attacked until I make the mistake of getting too close or driving past someone, always giving people the benefit of doubt

That being said, its pretty funny to send merc at a level 4 or something like that. Just new to the game and they get chased by merc lol.

Soran Is On

After playing a week with my level 15 (now 36) female character for a week I can confirm that my 172 level male avatar gets sh*t on way more. I get a lot more d-bags trying to 'test my metal' at 120+

now I'm kinda used to people being nice, when I finally go back to my high level when the spring update hits I'm gonna be feeling like...

I always target the highest ranks in the lobby because they're almost always just no-skill DNS kids.

the latest trend is getting kicked or reported as a cheater for being the only high level in the lobby.

so yeah people joining forces to attack me its just business as usual.

I am, I think, rank 130... ish. And when I see players with a rank over 300, I go after them. Because they are rp glitchers and deserve whatever grief they get. And if you're an exception? If you didn't glitch but earned it legitimately? Well, sorry if I killed you.

As for lower ranks coming after me... I haven't noticed it too much. But I also tend to stick to rooftops and most low rankers don't have the means to get up there.

Well hold on there, tiger.

I have a friend who refuses to do any exploits(yes, this is true, I cheat like a madman), be it RP, LSC or anything... even SP/MP is out for her. She creates races and drives them like it's her J.O.B.... which I sometimes feel like it is as I have never logged in to not see her playing... but she is a 326, 100% legit.

So.... people can attain that rank naturally.

This guy has it right. More money more level more problems. Try being level 179. Gotta hit Los Santos Customs in Solo Session if you dont want too run the gauntlet. But then again everyone always trys too kill everyone so I guess just learn too play smarter or you know get special carbined by a 12 year old.

I can't say I've seen much of that, well at least no more than usual. Better equipment and experience soon sorts them out though.
