Surano or Feltzer?

DECISIONS DECISIONS.
I'm kind of leaning towards the Feltzer because it's prettier, but which one is better performance-wise?

Some people swear by the Feltzer.

Can't say I've heard much about the Surano

I had both at one point. The Feltzer just wasn't my cup of tea(don't care for the Elegy either)... The Surano lasted a little longer in my garage, and got a little more use while it was there. My vote is Surano(although, i'd recommend a Jester, 9F, or Coquette, first and foremost).

It depends.

If you want to go racing, the Feltzer has the edge* thanks to it's superior grip. Just cruising around, the Surano is much cooler - drop-tops FTW!

*The Surano isn't terrible at racing but it has a very lively rear end so the Feltzer is easier to drive quickly.

I've always wanted the 9F tbh, but I'm hesitant because I saw the car in a thread about worst cars in the game, lol.

Does it handle well?

I race with a Feltzer. It has solid predictable handling, will occasionally drop into a small drift in lower speed corners but easily controllable. I've owned most sports cars in this game and a lot of them suffer from vicious snap oversteer that brings you to a dead stop or a spin over 90 degrees (big loss of time).

I believe the only car that has more grip is the Elegy. It occasionally suffers from the problem discussed above however.

Feltzer it is then. Can't stand slippery cars.

Surano. I think it drives and handles fine....it's quick and fun and one of the only in game cars that looks good with a soft top. I always thought the feltzer was kinda goofy...but it drives fine and is prob the better racer of the two.

It really takes a bit of skill to squeeze maximum potential out of the car. I won't lie, it's not for everyone.

My GF hates it. I love it.

If you have a firm grasp on the "slow in, fast out" style of hitting apexes, then this car is a monster, especially after getting used to it.

If you drive like a majority of the people in this game and dive into corners at full speed and lose your momentum and traction, then you would come to the conclusion that it is "one of the worst cars in the game". It does have a tendency to "slide" mid-corner, but in it's defense, it has amazing brakes and awesome acceleration.

The Surano is more similar(to the above). The Feltzer is more an "easy-mode" car with awesome traction/grip, very much like the Elegy, which is why i believe that those two cars are soooooo popular among the masses in this game.

My best times on nearly every track(by me) are set in the 9F(majority), or the Jester(minority). Most people will "peak-out" in an Elegy/Feltzer. That's just my two-cents on the matter.

I find the Jester behaves pretty similarly - brake early, clip the apex, power on through and leave everyone for dead. Assuming you don't get slammed off the track by someone taking the traditional GTA line through a corner.

Had a 9F for a bit and dumped it, did have strong acceleration though. How do your fast times compare to your friend's times in the sticky cars? I just don't think it's got the traction to compete in serious races.

Get a Comet...

Comet is vomit.

I tried it, the thing handled like crap.

Thats becuase you dont know how to control oversteer. The comet provides quck rotation and makes for amazing handling and best turn in and transition, the backs steps out sometimes but it is easy to recover. You can go through corners at FULL SPEED if you want, and if you do it right you can slide or let the tires grip, or let the tires grip and induce a slide with brakes or let off gas too get oversteer, then get back on the trottle get the grip and exit the turn.

Comet is a DRIVERS car and it is the FUNNEST car in the game, I outran a dumb person in Turismo while i was in my comet no joke. It has amazing acceleration, handling, durability and top speed.. the full package for someone who can handle it.

yes it is real life but this is the way the comet handles in the game, watch the drivers movements and do the same thing with the analog stick when your playing and watch yourself become a pro!!

Comet is actually better than the 9F... the 9f's AWD is heavily rear bias... and the front wheels getting power is only giving you no aid and less turning ability... so the comet is better here being RWD, rear engine, the front wheels only have to worry about turning, so the front wheels will hold grip better, part of what allows the comet to take a turn at higher speeds than other sports cars.

The 9F is great for accelerating out of a turn's thugh , I will powerslide that jawn all day when I had it.

Anyway, the Surano has a higher top speed than the Feltzer, the Feltzer has better acceleration. The Feltzer handles better than the Surano. So the surano works well for the Commute and highway races.. has the highest top speed for a sports car higher than the jester and everything else. Feltzer is better for turns and what not... either way I like the Feltzer better than the Surano.

This... All it takes is a hour or two to learn how to drive it. Once you do that It will rip through both the Surano and Feltzer.

Thing is, I don't race. I play on free aim and it's virtually impossible for me to find a lobby that's even half full.

All my cars are strictly for show and for missions. So I pretty much go for either the easy or nice looking cars.

In that case the Feltzer is for you. If you do get one please remember to install the huge park bench spoiler.

Feltzer is better performance-wise, but not by a mile. Surano looks just as cool IMO, and it's a convertible. Your call.

Unfortunately, no. It is very tail happy at speeds. But, you could definitely get used to it, FWIW

Go to SP, turn off autosave, then buy each car and try them for yourself to see which you like better.

Personally, I prefer the Surano, but everyone is different so you're best off deciding for yourself. SP you can fork out the cash and then just reload your game to get the money back.
