God, I hated Luis.

 

That was a terrible time in GTA History. When V wasn't even announced yet and all we had to do was run around playing as that prick. And the parachute mechanics are disgusting compared to V.

 

I wish Luis had been in V just so he could meet Trevor. I'd like Luis to try his tough guy act on him.

I think that he would stay in Liberty and run Maisonette 9, but still supporting his mother. After she dies he sells Maisonette and goes down to Vice City. He is driving down Ocean Beach and finds a nightclub. He pulls over and enters the club. He sits at the bar and orders a drink. He takes a drink then looks to his right to see Tony sitting next to him. Tony then looks to his left and sees Luis as well. They reunite and live happily forever after.

Still a better love story than Twilight.

My guess is that he's still alive and living pretty well. I'd say Tony went to Vice City for his retirement and let Luis in charge of Maisonette 9/Hercules.

There was no official statement from Rockstar regarding Luis. Probably he moved off to somewhere or got killed by one of the mobs. Niko, I believe he went somewhere quiter from Liberty City. I'd hate to see Luis or Niko having a fate similar to Johnny in a DLC.

I'm one of the few that liked Luis... I mean, I loved the story of TBoGT. Funny, people complaining about a GTA character acting too tough. Maybe he reminds some of you of the guy at school that used to bully you.

 

I could relate to Luis in the sense that he was trying to get away from his criminal past. And really, in order to do that, you sort of have leave all your friends etc.

 

My guess is Luis had more happy ending. Why? Because he seemed genuinely sick of picking up peoples mess. Yes, he complained about it, but rightly so. He was loyal to Tony (most likely to protect Luis' own interests) and he stayed loyal to his friends, helping them out when he could.

 

My guess is he met a nice girl, maybe one from a nicer background than him. She'd be mentally strong and not afraid to put Luis in his place if he's acting the bollix and he likes that about her. She's also attracted to his bad boy image but knows he's a good man inside. They might move somewhere more leafy to raise their child and he might venture in to opening his own bar or club, maybe in New Jersey.

Well, maybe that's just to stop people from speculating further about them. They just don't want to continue with the characters. They could have killed CJ or Tommy, but they're not the recent characters one has seen.

They never told us what happened to other GTA Protags after their respective games. The only guy I remember being killed was Victor from Vice City Stories. He was killed by Diaz's men in Vice City. And, Johnny's the next one after him.

If Luis wanted to move to LS, we might see him again, but that depends if he's moving forever, or if he's going away for a holiday, or just some business thing. Otherwise, he is definitely staying in LC or heck, maybe he decided to move somewhere else.

After reading this discussion, I believe Luis will be in the next/later DLC. R* has included many past characters from their series' but nothing from TBOGT except for Rocco. This was their last installment before V, so it only makes sense for them to pay homage to it.

 

My 2nd opinion though, would be that since Luis was one of their worst written characters, they're just letting sleeping dogs lie.
