Questions about headshots

For some reason when i shoot someone in their head and they shoot at me. i die and they don't? this guy got 1 hit on me and my health dropped to 0 and his was like half. he wasn't wearing armor either. is this guy boosting his health or something?

I did. Saw the blood spilling from his head and my crosshair was red when i shot him.

the only guns that are instant one hit kills to the head are pistols and snipers, any other weapon has to be within "range" to be a one shot kill

Yep thats what i used. an AP Pistol at close range

Could be that. when i rolled i got killed by 1 hit as well. and my character just hit the ground like a rock.

What level was the player? That max health is a beast when you're a high level.

These "you shoot at each other at the same time" moments, do seem a bit random as to who dies. Some times both of you. But, CatchMeTrolling may be right "LAG" it really comes in to play in those moments. However if you saw you shot hit him in the head with an AP he should have died. It is puzzeling and sorry I don't think I've helpped

nah. i was told Strength had nothing to do with it. that only affects certain melee weapons

What rank were you and what rank was your enemy? if you were a lot lower than him, then he he has more health and you have less damage. say you were rank 20 and he was rank 120+

Sometimes I see crew upgrades ( like max health increased ) that could be it.

215 and i believe he was a similar rank as me but above 120 so we both had max health

Indeed. Having a helmet does help protect you against head shots...unless you know where to aim.

my dude has max strength and he can take a sht load of bullets and pistol whips,,, well worth maxing out..
