Well since this has to do with our characters and such. I'm just gonna see how this affects people before i install the update. i never did an RP cheat so you know. i'm just afraid my character's level would drop by mistake if this does happen..

No. They clearly stated they can detect the RP that was glitched. They wrote a script that will scan stats and see if you gained more RP than you were supposed too from a mission or activity. It will determine how much extra you gained, and remove it. It sounds complex, but for a computer, it's actually pretty simple.

 

It's the same thing they did with the money, but they probably won't shut the servers down to do it. I think they waited until now to do it because they finally patched out all the RP exploits.

I'm not going to argue the legitimacy of my rank anymore, but four things got me nervous:

1. Armored trucks: I stand to lose 3,000,000RP if they decide infinite armored truck spawn is 'nefarious.'

2. Criminal Records: I can't remember if I took part in a glitch for this race or not.

3. The Covetedx16 and the CCOIIIx8 playlists: I'm not sure if they're ill-gotten.

4. The Rooftop Rumble bookmark: Even though it just has ease of join and change the weather goodies, they might perceive it as nefarious.

I'll be here on GTA F waiting for the countless bitching/moaning threads about it that'll get locked every god-damn minute. I feel sorry for the mods

 

 

Im rank 56 so even if they reset me unmistakably, I would care less

Why should those be ill-gotten? I think R* said that those who grinded missions have nothing to fear, the only ones that have to sh*t their pants are the ones who modified their game via DNS, PC, etc.

Shouldn't affect me. I'm 285 and never used a dns server. 50 days play time and maxed stats.

It's happening already. Atleast one friend of my list had his RP corrected 1 day ago. From 938 to 38 :) Let the butt hurt begin! It's not like I like the it but he was warned about it and he didn't care. I'm glad that Rockstar is FINALLY doing something about it.

I am lv 239 from playing from day one all totally legit

(i even lost one character at lv 67 when i got trolled by the cloud error's),

 

so i have nothing to worry about and will keep on playing regardless.
