(xbox 360) No more random events, no more calls from properties...

So somewhat after I finished GTA V 100%, I noticed no more random events appeared in the game world, and I didn't receive any more phonecalls (indicating side missions) from my businesses. I tried all of the following:

 

- Saving and reloading the game in a new slot.

- Switching between singeplayer and online several times.

- Putting the characters to sleep for several times or have them waiting for many ingame hours.

- deleting the title update and reinstalling it.

 

Nothing has helped so far. Anyone else having this problem, maybe somebody has another tactic I can try? Also: I did start a new game in which everything seemed to work well, but I'd like to have the features back in my 100% savegame.

I had the same issue for about 4 or 5 weeks (didn't really bother me since I'd already got 100%)-- then one day everything just started working-- all i did was play on line for an hour or so and exited via the pause menu.

 

You seemed to have tried just about everything that has reported to have worked-- I would also try the following (this got my private cab fare call to return)--

 

Switch to Franklin.

Quick save in a new slot (make sure the game is finished saving before exiting)

Exit the game

Start the game so your new save auto loads.

Kill yourself by whatever means is convenient

When I respawned at a hospital, I got a phone call about a private fare that I had not gotten in several months.

 

If this does not work-- try again but with another character....

Im also having similar problems, weird thing is I yesterday just got one random property mission, did it and then nothing again after that. Still no random events, last one mission or property missions

Tried the above, no luck so far. If anybody has a cast iron solution, i'd be very grateful!

Same experiences here. I think when they do an update (patch) it resets it somehow so that you can get the stuff you missed.

We're on the same boat here. I'm missing some security vans and they don't spawn at all. Today somehow I managed to get a mission from the Tivoli Cinema after taking a cab to the airport. I didn't skip the travel and when I was near the destination, this property mission popped up. But it didn't help in case of random events. Any advices? Please.

I've just encountered this now in my game (also xbox 360) I've completed the story and I'm on 84.5% I've bought all the properties except the golf course, it's been over a week since I completed the last mission and I've not had a single random encounter, property mission or even seen any security vans, the game feels so dead an empty I'm considering starting again, but I don't know if the same thing will happen.

The next DLC is right around the corner and will probably include a patch. Might want to see if that helps you out.

Hopefully, but with the lack of updates SP currently gets compared to GTA:O I won't hold my breath.

After trying to get the random event "Snatched" to appear on my almost 100% save (Never did it up until today, at least on that particular save) it finally appeared for me like 30 minutes ago. Hopefully patch 1.13 fixes this issue for everyone else.

Well, it didn't fix the issue with not spawning security vans but property missions seems to appear more often now. Today I had a call from Pitchers and Smoke On The Water.

 

 

EDIT: ACTUALLY IT HELPED! TODAY I'VE DONE 5 REMAINING SECURITY VANS. THEY WERE SPAWNING WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS

I had pretty much the same issue with private cab fares, except that it hadn't been that long.

 

I don't normally play GTA Online, but I switched to it tonight to see I could still log in without a crapload of headaches.

 

Soon as I switched back, I got a call. But I wanted to switch to another car, so I reloaded the game (which put me back as Frank) so I'd have enough time to grab it and be ready for the call.

 

Only problem was, I never got the call again. Tried doing things differently...switching characters, safehouse-saving to change time of day, moved myself to random places on the map, nothing worked.

 

Only thing that worked was relaunching GTA Online and switching back to Frank.

 

BUT, before you try this...I dunno, maybe it's just me, but every single time I switch back to Single Player, Frankie's garage is empty! Even if I leave GTAO by switching to Mike, then to Frank. Every single time. I think only way to avoid THAT particular bug is to launch GTAO from another game save, but that doesn't really help me with the cab fares. Unless I just go empty Frank's garage before-hand.

 

I knew it. I freakin' knew it. Every time I try out GTAO, something happens to piss me off. Anyway, maybe one of you can piece out a solution from some of that.
