Honestly, I'm getting tired of coming on here to find people bad-mouthing Rockstar because somebody doesn't get their way or because the last update disappointed them. I don't think you guys realize the hard work and time they put into this game and every other one. 5 years it takes them to make a game and you guys are disppointed? Also, saying that R* doesn't listen to us is downright ignorant considering the fact that they have people look at these forums so that can please us, only to have people complain about how they "failed us" with the last update, and the one before that, and the one before.

 

I understand there are hackers and glitchers out there that can ruin your fun or even make you jealous at times, but it's not to switch sessions or play with your friends (if you have any). You know for a fact that R* is doing what they can to stop cheaters and the fact that they [almost] got rid of the big money glitch is amazing progress.

 

So why don't you guys leave R* alone and let them do what they need to do to make the game better instead of complaining. If you don't like it, play a different game.

I don't think you realize how many missing little things from previous games that makes gta gta. After you finish story mode you could play single player for months and months and have fun, in 5 there are mere hours of enjoyment left in single player after completing story. Sure they have some stuff that's gta and is getting better but when it first came out it was a joke. Not to mention the tons and tons still rampant bugs and glitches. Seriously the worst bugged game I've ever played and I used to frequently test beta games.

 

I think the consoles limitations are a major factor in lots of the suckyness. Nearly every public session is glitched because too much processing power is devoted to people in tanks blowing sh*t up so crates never drop, cars never spawn or they disappear when you touch the door. Armored trucks don't drop money or they don't disappear when you attack them. Is rare to find a public session where things work as intended, usually there are less than 10 people in such sessions. The game would be 1000x better on pc or ps4 where we have some processing power to play with. Half your playing time is spent looking at a loading screen, very disappointing. There simply isn't enough content to sustain online play for very long, it gets old pretty fast. You can only play the same mission so many times before it's no longer fun.

 

The combat system is a joke, 3rd person shooting sucks and console controls aren't very good for shooters. It's impossible to set your sensitivity in a way so that you can move slow enough to snipe a target far away and fast enough to target a guy running close by. Auto aim sucks cause instead of locking the close target right next to your Crosshair it jumps 3/4 of the way across the screen to lock a guy 500 yards away.

 

Sure it's fun for a while but I quit for a long time till the last update and I'm in 5 crews and only like 5 guys in 3 different crews are ever on, everyone else in my crews quit cause its fairly boring after you've played every mission 500 times and killed a few thousand people. I could go on but it's long enough already.

 

Tldr: f*ck rockstar, f*ck you!

You need to think of the bright side, though. Here let me take you on a journey...

 

There are so many awesome things you CAN do with the glitches and bugs this game has. Sure it gets annoying when NPC's come into your car but it makes for funny moments while racing. There's also a gate glitch similar to the swingset in IV that sends you or your car across the map. Talk about a view.

 

Also, let's not forget that small glitches people do to make it better, like adding a pearlescent to your matte car, or stacking ramps on races. R* even said that if the glitch isn't hurting anybody, then they'll keep it (New update post). Now I know I'm getting a bit off topic but you need to realize that not all bugs and glitches are bad and with a little creativity, you can make them fun.

Alterations should be slight and never to a detriment (subjective). Finally, to state the glaringly obvious, this is an open forum for gta fans. Some fans are never happy, others barely so. Everyone has the right to voice their opinion.

 

You say that people don't appreciate all their work and effort like we owe them gratitude.

Rockstar employees don't volunteer and they don't make these games out of the goodness of their heart, it's made Rockstar a fortune in profits and will continue to do so.

All the employees are well paid with comfortable hours and job security and work everyday in a nice environment, many people work in much more valuable professions in much worse conditions so if we disagree with certain aspects of the game we are entitled to do so.

 

I'll continue to complain about bad aspects of the game because I want them improved.

 

You tell me about Rockstar employees volunteering their time to make the game better and I'll appreciate them, until then I place police, soldiers and medical workers higher up on my respect list than Rockstar employees.

Actually that isnt true. Game forums are more commonly participated in by ages 15 and above. In fact if you did a "Whats your age" thread, you would find the majority of regular* users would be between 15-35. Of course there is the matter of 10yo's dropping in with a thread or two, but then if people like yourself didnt respond in them they would vanish rather quickly. You give 10yo's to much credit. 10 yo's aren't using forums, they are knee deep in free roam and most probably never even use a PC or forum capable device.

Modern society is somewhat burdened with young parents and grown up children (almost a hark back to Georgian values). Such is the proliferation of 'I don't give a f*ck' attitudes and 'this'll keep'em quiet' responses, kiddies under 15 are becoming ever more common in open forum, anime forums in particular (shame we don't get paid child minding rates everytime we go on the web). In any case. The reason you only see so few on this open forum at the minute is that 10yo's are as you've pointed out, playing the game and the fact that they don't know any better, nor give a sh*t as to even make a basic argument for anything. They are the most grateful among us. As far as they are concerned they have everything they want and don't yet know the ruination of want nor cynicism. God I wish I was 10yo again

I'm just gonna admit I'm 15 and my parents never really minded me playing games like this because they knew I could handle it and wouldn't repeat what I see on screen. I literally started playing when I was 10 when my brother introduced me to San Andreas. Along with that, I think that as long as you're not a squeaker and don't complain everytime you get killed, the I don't mind talking to you or being your friend. I myself could pass as an 18 year old online.
