does it take longer for you to die the higher rank you are?

It makes no difference what rank you are. Only armour keeps you alive for longer but not much.

Yup. :^:

If you are having problems, you probably aren't shooting well. Aim at the head, and use bombs and shotguns. Armor and good health are the only things that keep people alive and strong.

Dear OP, despite the many replies, the fact of the matter is, YES, it CAN take longer at a higher rank to be killed.

What I mean by this is that higher ranked players have a lot more experience and wisdom they've gained in the course of getting to their level.

For example, knowing that shooting an Entity from behind is fruitless, an experienced player will always move toward the front of the car for a clear shot.

Another is when being chased, experienced players know where to go, where to perch, and how to evade other players far easier, making it harder to kill.

I often laugh when I see one of the RP glitchers with a rank of 956 get taken down, repeatedly, by a level 21 or so. It's because they glitched when they were probably only a level 30 or 40 and never gained the actual experience of a realistic level.

But, also, like others have stated, no matter what rank you are, if you're sitting there unaware, a bullet does not care what rank you are, especially when it's moving at high speeds.

Cheers! ;)

this

yesterday i was murdering a pair of DNS fools as my level 21 character, they claimed they "did constant jobs" to get to their rank legitimately lol

im gonna laugh when that RP reset bomb happens and all the dns noobs quit the game, im hoping it'll bring the community together more

Why are people saying that rank doesn't matter? You can increase your health, the higher you rank up. Now I'm not exactly sure how to increase health. If it's like increasing flying skill or shooting skill....... like the more damage you take, the higher your health is. BUT YES, you can increase your health. You'll see on the left side of the screen a message that pops up telling you how much your health has increased....

with that being said...... a head shot is a head shot... no matter the rank

I have two characters, one level 140 something and one like level 10

level 10 cant take a twenty foot fall or absorb bullets from npcs, he gets riddled fast

sometimes instead of stairs ill just jump off a building with the level 140 because i know he will live

depends on the building of course

so short answer, yes

unless its a head shot, in which case no

does anyone realise that the only guns that are always a one hit kill to the head are pistols and snipers? after like 5 meters headshots from any other weapon do normal damage

You know this is obvious...but I think the question is more about, can a level 200 take more damage than a level 120?

To whoever said no they are in fact incorrect. The health increase every 20 levels; 20, 40, 60, 80, and finally 100. Players under level 20 are at 'Max health' available (most likely to give them a fair chance). Level 20 you will be set to lowest health. Every 20 levels you add 20% to your health, and as you guess, level 100 is max health. There are no further benefits after level 100.

Some people in this thread don't know what they're talking about, you get more health the more you rank up, which can make the difference in a duel between you and a player with lower health. For example if you shoot at the same time without going for a headshot the player with more health is likely to come out as the victor. You don't "last longer" you have a better chance at surviving a few bullets.

In SP offline, strength determines health.

In GTA:Online, health unlocks at ranks 20, 40, 60, 80, 105. At 105 you'll have maximum online health, whatever your rank from there. A rank 180 person will have the same health as a rank 105.

I know it was 105 since I just recently unlocked it and made note nothing happened at 100.

Online, strength determines only how quickly you climb ladders or jump over things where you have to climb them etc.

You get more health until you reach rank 1000.

You are incorrect. I honestly doubt you are legit level 324, but again I don't know you. I level to level 130 legit and level 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 i had the health bar appear and add 20% each time. After 100 you are done. Thats why those players who are level 1000 die to level 2's with hand guns.
