OP 4K TV is out now, 1080p is on the road to becoming archaic.

Unless you plan on buying a 70"+ screen, there's no need to move up to 4k, IMO.

Not just your opinion, I edit 4K digital film files every day, There's no difference in picture quality.

I'm using A/V cable plugged to a TV Tuner input adapter which connected to my 14" laptop screen through USB....

=((

Been like this for 3 years... I refuse to buy HDTV before I stay overseas alone (without family).

Ugh this reminds me of a friend I had who used a tube TV for the longest time. 32" he find out by the road. His brother had a computer monitor he never used with an hdmi hook-up and would do 720p, but it was a 22". My friend didn't want to use it because it was too "small", but the quality of the 720p makes up for it extremely. Plus trying to play with a boob tube tv would strain your eyes. I couldn't stand trying to make out half of what was on the screen, started getting a headache.

I agree! Straining eyes are not a good thing haha

I'm feeling you OP.

I got HDMI for the first time a few months ago and well, despite never really expressing myself in this way, it's AMAZING. It's like having a new console.

On GTA I could actually read all the tips and text.

On Battlefield I realised I was at such a disadvantage previously. Seeing the names and ranks helped a hell of a lot.

Sony 4k tv is the way to go. Huge difference yet again

Sony doesn't even make a 4K TV bigger than 65".

I play on an old Fujitsu 50" Plasma Screen monitor.

It goes through s-video, but looks pretty good.

Text is quite readable, though could be clearer, but the colors are more accurate and vibrant that ANY HDTV I've ever seen. It was a $15,000 monitor in it's prime, got it for $100 3 years ago.

The only thing I wish I could go to full HD for is the depth, but I have no depth perception irl, so I'm used to the lack of depth.

Though, when I play on a full-hd it seems like I'm in a whole different world. My sister said that's what everything looks like irl anyways, so she barely notices ._.

I recently got a new TV, my old one was a 2006 42" Panasonic plasma and just got a new 65" Samsung LED Smart TV @ 240Hz, amazed at how much better the game (and everything else) looked.

My 26" widescreen tv's true resolution is only 1024x768 (it has 16:9 shaped pixels) but I can't complain as I got given it free :) connected via HDMI it produces a perfectly good enough picture, especially considering the resolution is close to that of what the game is actually rendered in, 1280x720.

Still using a 480p tube TV here, with Xbox plugged in with the yellow, white and red cables ;)

The 360 and PS3 versions of GTAV run at 720p that, with an HDTV, can upscale to 1080p. So neither are true HD and 4k wouldn't make a lick of difference to the picture.

Just sayin' ;)

You are incorrect sir. Most 720p TVs come with HDMI. The technology has been around longer than HD, as it is just DVI + sound.

I'm using the same TV that I used to play San Andreas on. I'm wondering how long this lightbulb lasts....

If you really want to have your mind blown watch porn in HD. The picture is so clear the genital warts look like they are going to jump out and bite you.

I have an HDMI switch on my computer desk with my ps3 and PC hooked up to my 23" full HD 1080p monitor, can switch between both by just pushing the switch, pretty nice.

This monitor is REALLY clear, use it for photo editing and processing so it needs to be clear, decided one day to hook up the ps3 to it, wont unhook it again.
