Timed out when connecting online

So anyone else timing out when trying to connect to GTAO ?

 

I didnt have this problem last night, but all this day I cant connect.

Cant make a private lobby, cant make a crew lobby, cant join crew members...

 

Anyone else having this same problem? Think it has something to do with the update or something?

OP my internet runs at 100mbps so it's definitely not that. I've timed out twice today. In the last week I've lost count between FR, and either trying to join a DM/TDM, whatever the problem is, it's on their end.

I have had no problems with timing out unless the game is about to update, but all of today its just time out every 5 seconds and it just worked once out of 30 times. So its anyones guess what R* is up to

Agree with you there, I have only been timed out twice this week but I have notice a

lot of people getting timed as soon as a job starts. Something is wrong or something is happening.

Before you can even begin to point the finger you need to establish if others in your region are experiencing this issue. Until then you are just guessing.

Between the content creator, the high life update, who knows how their going to do the RP sweep. Whether it's like how they siphoned off everyone's billions, there's probably allot of testing going on, in addition to the new verified jobs that are going to be added.

I've had Time Warner for years, as far as internet access, and speed, I've never had an issue. Now the cable TV is another story, don't get me started on that topic. Last 2 years I've gone through 5 boxes.

I think fios is screwing with me. Dropped premium channels to get 'faster' internet, to have my WiFi cut out on me on average of 5 times a night. Thanks FIOS.

OP I can tell you that just because you have good mb/s speed doesn't mean it's not your internet, there are numerous factors depending on your setup and hardware that can cause errors like this.

Its just the OPs internet. Everyone always assumes they have perfect connection when in reality its just their connection that's messing things up when everyone leaves a lobby or something.

 

I don't have the best internet connection but I don't have the worst and I time out once in a while. Its just my internet that's causing the problem. Usually if I turn off one of the laptops in my house I wont lose connection at all. So instead of instantly blaming Rockstar for your internet problems, take a moment to think about the situation. You're not perfect and you can stop replying to people like a high class douchebag.

People that say things like that blatantly have 0 idea what they're even talking about.

Im very aware it could be on his end just like the others that are reporting this but to say its only a handful isnt being fair your downplaying it to suit your agenda the gta community as a whole is having problems right now not just a few here and there. The freezing issue and people who "claim" not to have been having connection problems in the past but are having them now. We can agree to disagree but as silly as it is for these guys to proclaim it isnt there connection its pretty silly for someone to say it IS there connection without being able to diagnose the problem firsthand correct?

Yeah, I can't get past the infinite loading screen thing I have heard about this but not experienced it myself before.

 

I can't even get online, I play everyday Online - and will just do a quick check to see what the PS3 tells me about the connection...
