R* remove the Tank as a PV and refund the amount paid

The tank is by far the worst thing added online as something to buy,

so its come to the point that is should be removed as a PV all players refunded who bought the tank,

and place it in the army base just like the Lazer jet. use the same method to acquire the tank as the jet

 

so here is a poll to see if the rest of the community agree and ask R* to take it into account

How about stop your belly aching and go play in a private lobby if you don't like tanks. Or maybe drive to the north end of the map away from other players instead of making useless polls on a forum that has 500,000 members compared to the 32 plus million players of grand theft auto 5

Removed from Pegasus so you have to steal one from Fort Zancudo or elsewhere, buff the tank accordingly by allowing a machine gunner passenger. It'd be fun trying to steal one and would require skill to pull it off.

 

Or just add a more effective anti-tank weapon.

Removing something completely is not a solution. Just make sure it isnt as OPd as it is now. 5 hammer/RPG shots should be enough to destroy a tank.

Before the ''jet in garage'' etc glitch was fixed, I managed to steal one from fort zancudo and carry it over to my garage with a cargobob. So i wouldn't mind the tank beeing removed as PV as long as they didnt make it harder to steal( It did take me a while)

The only thing about stealing one is actually getting it out of the base. Granted, I don't spend much time driving or casually strolling through Zancudo but when I have I've not seen a way to exit on the ground. Bobbing one out will work but can be a tad ridiculous with a half dozen AI tanks shelling you. Not to mention all the players who will have turned the Zancudo wetlands into the Mekong delta.

 

Classic GTA solution: Bring back the sixth star and fire based weapons, we can burn and pillage tanks as needed.

1. I don't like tank griefers.

 

2. I don't think tanks should be removed.

 

3. I like nice people in tanks.

 

4. We need better defense against tanks. Or they need to be adjusted, be it lower health or a time limit. (Seriously, we have to wait, like, 5 minutes to call a personal car, but someone can call a tank every second? What?)

 

5. Solo and Invite sessions defeat the purpose and shouldn't have to be used for running away.

OP, your poll is INCORRECT, I can assure you. There should be neutral option, it's mandatory.

 

I'm not troubled by tanks, when I don't want. Tanks are slow, predictable and can be outmanoeuvred easily with most vehicles. Can be destroyed by BUZZARD with gunner EASILY(off-radar, direct shot from unreachable angle, repeat), can be destroyed by Lazer also.

Check your surroundings, always be on guard, play death match instead free-roaming all the time and you'll be ok.

Griefed by a tanker`? Passive -> new session/ join job. It's a game, get over it.

 

Thing is, OP: last five-six sessions i saw a tank only twice and I was driving it.

You forget one thing though: The tank can't fly. So you can't get it out of Zancudo unless ou have a cargobob, which will be shot down instantly as soon as you have a wnted level.

Best solution is something like an hour delay until the next use, this way, people will think twice about calling their tank to go on a rampage, because if their tank gets f*cked, you cannot call another one while the players you griefed can.

switching sessions won't help either.

This would make it worth it to kill a tank griefer with your RPG, because when you destroy his tank, you can get your own and show him how it's done properly.

 

Oh and maybe they should add a huge delay for passive mode when someone enters a tank, this way those pure tank players will get royally f*cked when they lose their little toys...

tank dont need to be removed. they just need to make it spawn ONLY at fort zancudo.

 

you call pegasus and it would deliver the tank to the fort, after all its military equipment, it should only spawn there.

 

samething with the jet, make it purchaseable but it should only spawn at the fort.

Never used invite-only lobby. Can vouch, was never griefed: only killed once (by every tank, of course), then i went passive/joined a job/changed session. Still not playing alone, not hiding behind trees.

I don't get griefed either... I have encountered people with tanks, had one or two different people blow me up, but I just drove away from them. Didn't use passive and Even Stayed in the same session.

 

I think some people try to blow up every tank they see and end up getting blown up themselves in the process, then turn around and say they were getting griefed. It's not that hard to go around a tank.

I don't think they'll remove the tank from online. It's cases like this why R* created the passive mode feature.

Just bring back tank sniping. A few well placed sniper rounds should be able to penetrate the hatch. Although it does suck for unaggressive tank owners that just want cruise around, blow up cops and cause mayhem and not have their tank stolen and unretrievable till destroyed.
