Should we be excited for heists?

I don't think any of us can say whether or not they are actually going to be fun... do you think it's worth getting excited for? I don't want to be all hyped up and then end up playing what is basically survival mode in a bank or something like that.

I'm not that excited anymore. They're long overdue, and we still don't even know why it took this long. I would have been more excited if they were were out around Christmas. I can imagine that they're gonna be pretty straightforward anyway. Go in with your crew, shoot the guards, hack the computer, get the loot, and escape the cops.

Excuse me if I'm wrong or if I missed this somewhere, but how do you know this? Wasn't this just stuff you could do with the developer mission creator that you could glitch into on the content creator? If so, those are developer tools only, not meant for the public, and I doubt they're going to release anything like it (especially if you can select how much money you can earn, everyone will make the payouts as high as they can).

all the content creators - race, CTF(soon), Deathmatch. so why not heist creator?

the amount of money we earn will be determined by the level of the heist difficulty

and yes the 'developer mission creator' made me think that maybe this is

something that is related to heists dlc

Even single player heists were lame and unrealistic as f*ck. But these will be even gayer. We probably won't even get ski masks. I hate the f*ckin sh*tty masks available now. I refuse to wear any of them. In fact, if we are required to wear a mask for heists, and are stuck with the sh*t we have now, I'm not doing it. I'd rather grind RR, probably make more $$ anyway.

Heists are like happiness. you expect it, but it might never come

it could be 9 months since launch before we see them and I could have had another brat in that amount of time

If they are not better than heists in single player, you know rockstar had them done all along and is just milking us and feeding us just enough content so that we dont leave

you know, soon as they notice players dropping off, release some "new" cars they modeled in 2012 type of business model

 

Or a mission creator, "here do our work for us"

Meh. it will be just like missions. The higher your RP is, the more intense heist you get. For example, a Level 10 guy may get a house robbery heist where you may get paid like $10000 each while the Level 90 guy may end up robbing a big bank and end up dealing with cops/ SWAT teams while you ride away in your get away car with a pay of $100000 each.

As others have mentioned, I thinks its important to consider how heists might actually work. I am personally very excited, but hoping that heists are what we are expecting them to be,

 

Payouts should be significant first off. None of this 15k nonsense. With that said, the heists should be considerably difficult, to prevent abusive farming.

 

There should be much more control over heists than in SP. Pre release they made it seem like we would be able to fine tune how we complete heists in SP, when its actually just an option between A and B. With GTAO heists, we should have much more control over how the heists play out.

 

If these things are done right, I think heists will be amazing. Heres hoping that the reason why it has taken so long is because they are trying to exceed these expectations.

Meh, i don't think heists will be 'amazing'. If they allow players to use their own PVs.for the getaways it will be pretty easy.

 

I do think they will be fun tho. At this point il take anything new co-op related despite what the payout is.
