Anyone else think backpacks would be a nice addition?

There's a lot of NPC wearing backpacks and such, I don't get why R* just leaves out these simple things for us. It would look pretty badass wearing a backpack while doing missions. Just my opinion. Also like in that other thread ski masks and bandanas would be awesome as well.

Well obviously it's not a huge issue, but its something that probably wouldn't be hard for them to do, since NPCs already wear them around.

Backpacks for aesthetic purposes I could see. But putting weapons or explosives in them would never happen. Why? because it would portray terrorist like acts that have happened, for example the Boston Marathon Bombings, and R* definitely doesn't want that kind of label added to their name.

Same reason why R* wont let our characters use Ron's meth pipe or huff Trevor's rag of gasoline. Pot realistically speaking will probably be legalized in the U.S. within the next 5-10 years, solely for the tax revenue it will generate. But certain lines they will never cross, I was surprised they got away with dogs humping, and hunting in SP mode. Even the enhanced interrogation mission was dancing on thin ice with certain liberal groups.

That's different to being a terrorist. That's more of a threat. It's pretty much illegal to carry such a weapon around, even if it is for self-defence.

In all seriousness it's the world we live in today. Come to NYC and mistakenly leave your backpack on NYC subway train. You will probably shut that specific subway line down for 3 hours, while they send in a robot to remove it, amongst other procedures. It happens more than you think. That is also why if Liberty City makes a comeback, you will never see the Freedom Tower or anything WTC related in the game.
