I thought of a good idea. What if we had a Caution Blip for players?

1. White blip turns into KdHDQLq.png If the person is in a Tank, Buzzard, Annihilator, Jet. Or the person is dominating the session without anyone barley killing him.
2. KdHDQLq.png is attached to the person for 43 minutes when he is spawn killing the lobby.
3. Lobby will get notified if a user has got a KdHDQLq.png on them (joining or during the session)

it'd help for unsuspecting lower levels

 

i like to go by instinct though, i love seeing a slow moving marker, assuming it's a tank, peaking around the corner and turning out to be right

 

after that, it's time to take my car and tease the living sh*t out of them

I think (or I hope, really) that the player blips will change colours depending on their mental player statistic

That would make sessions even worse, everyone would be trying to get a caution blip.

Lol. it would help but it would attract players as well who want to cause trouble with the spawn killers. So Asshole vs Asshole. xD

That would make sessions even worse, everyone would be trying to get a caution blip.

 

Then the person would have to kill 5 different people 10 times or so.

It seems like a reasonable backup if the mental player thing doesn't do anything useful.

Yes if there's a proximity thing about it. For example, only show when target is within 1mile.

Don't agree if you can be 7 miles away and you're being shown as "a threat".

Or grab one yourself, leave the player blips the way it is... it's perfect imho, I had to get used to the white names but I love the anonymity :) and love the surprises too

f*cking blips should only show up for a brief amount of time when seen or shooting without a silencer.... when in view of cops and they are after you etc. would make it a lot more immersive. location based mics as standard too. and while im on a rant free aim should have more of payout traditional is aim and flick right trigger. so much quicker but no where near as fun.

seeing another player or having to find one based on where they were shooting about would allow for a lot more, different, experiences with more reasons to be stealthy and keep your eyes peeled and sh*t.

Furthermore, I want the ability to label each player in a session with a couple of different attributes, like Friend, Enemy, and Asshole , with dot colors distinguishable at a glance. I also want to enable Friendly Fire OFF for the players that I designate as Friend.

 

I have been killed so many times in street fights because I hesitate for a couple of seconds trying to figure out which dots and which players are my recent friends.

Agree. I was in a full 16 player lobby once. Got along with everyone except 2 griefers. Why can't I just be immune to them and trust everyone else?...

I agreed with it till I saw 'players who are dominating the session'. Stealth/skilled players shouldn't be punished. Only those who run to their tanks after their first death

I voted no as the game gives you enough information already. If you see a players name constantly appearing saying they killed someone, it's probably best to avoid them. You can already highlight their blip without pausing.

 

If anything this would make things worse. Having your blip display as a warning would become a badge of honour and make the forced free-roam deathmatch even worse.

 

Yet another terrible "Nanny State" idea. OP should dry his eyes and have a can of man the f**k up juice, learn how to use Passive in an effective manner or go to an invite only.

 

Not meaning to sound like a prick and crap all over your idea but if you see a white dot, it's a threat.

blips identifying if a person is in a tank and stuff like that have been suggested and i always vote yes.

 

 

sometimes i look at the map and wonder why with so many colours available they would make 99% of the blips plain white.

 

anyway, yes having a small tank symbol or jet symbol to allow players to know THAT dude is in a tank. this would help people and piss the tank griefers as they surprise would be ruined!

 

th caution blip for players sound good, maybe they would add something like that when they start tracking our "mental state" in the upcoming updates.

Just because I get into a lot of gun fights it shouldn't be more difficult to actually play with someone without them killing me.

 

If you've played online long enough you'd be able to know that most slow moving blips are tanks especially if you hear lots of explosions. Most people are useless in lazers and their blip moves faster than everything else so it's easy to know that they are in jets anyway. Buzzards are pretty useless most of the time since you can just auto aim the pilot or pull out a sniper or minigun before they can kill you.

The OP has some great ideas... for an entirely different game. All of this excess information would remove the unpredictability and potential danger that makes the online game so much fun.

The only thing they need to do is put the already in game stealth mechanics in free roam. Then every issue is solved. See a tank. Go into stealth and walk away or hide till it passes.

 

If your going to do ops idea you may as well flag player caution for every player with a gun out. Or has fired one in the last few minutes.

 

Stealth would fix most free roam issues. Including spawn killing as itd be easier to escape when you respawn without a blip saying hey I spawned right here....

 

And it wouldnt be op because of the speed at which players move in stealth. Ie pretty bloomin slow.

 

Also there's enough different icons cluttering up my map dont really want more. Would however love to turn the damn things off, I dont need job locations on minimap when they can all be hosted through the start menu
