Nz_fool
Did you listen to a song in GTA V for the first time and ended up loving it? For me Big Log by Robert Plant. It is such a good song and I am surprised that I never heard it before. How about you?

Nz_fool
I find your topic title confusing.... Ā Has GTAV introduced me to new music? Yes. All games with music have. Ā Has it changed my music preference? No, not at all. My taste in music is just as it was before. Sorry bout that. I meant did you find yourself enjoying a song or station you wouldnt expect. D T
I have to give Rockstar props on that one. If it wasn't for GTA V, I never would have discovered great artists like YG or Britney Spears.
Gnocchi Flip Flops
The title makes no sense. But no, V hasn't changed my music preference one bit. I like some of the songs in V but not enough to even dramatically modify my favored genre of music. Ā @Above: I noticed that sarcasm, lol. Voggs
My music preference is still the same. But OT, I loved the songs I'm Free, Photograph and Sleepwalking. I still remember that when I was finishing the first mission (Franklin & Lamar) for the first time I put Radio Mirror Park and Sleepwalking was playing, it was so epic! Ā But honestly, most of the time there's boring music playing so I put some of the old GTA radios using a hard drive on the Xbox, mostly Vladivostok FM from EFLC when driving as Franklin. no_snacks
I'm the same as Barefoot Tiger. A bit older than the average player on here, so I was already familiar with the older tracks. Every GTA game has introduced me to some new music that I might not have discovered on my own, so that's a good thing. I tend to flick between stations while driving, just like I do in real life. (drives the family insane) When I checked my stats the other day, I was surprised to find Radio Mirror Park was my favourite station for all 3 protags. Maybe I wont sell my llama farm just yet. RiaJay21
Not changed, exactly, but expanded. There's a handful of songs I'd never have heard without listening to them on GTA, but find I actually really like, even though they're quite far off the beaten path for me. Ā I was already familiar with Wham!, Pet Shop Boys and Phil Collins, due to my parents' record collection. Same with a few songs on Blue Ark (Night Nurse in particular) , and mom's always been a bit of a Hall & Oates fan. But, yeah, I've found quite a few songs I really like that I'd never have listened to otherwise. Edited April 5, 2014 by RiaJay21

Goldn-Bayse
To be honest, I never listened to music before GTA. When I first started playing GTA IV, I always had the radio off but eventually I fell in love with Vladivostok FM. In GTA V, the radio stations broadened my taste in music to stuff like LSRR, Space 103.2, Radio Mirror Park, Worldwide fm and West coast classics. Johnix1
when I found out there's Modjo - Lady in GTAV, I was like - no way! I used to love this song when I was a kid, and it was completely unexpected for me to hear it in a game like GTA. that was actually the first song I bought in my childhood, on a freaking cassette. then there's Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls which I also loved. other then that I didn't find anything interesting in particular.
