No Animals besides occasional rare dog

pretty sure no next gen but not entirely. pc yeah i cant wait they will probably have alot added and done by then

but the whole server memory for massive amounts of players might make it almost impossible to leave human npc density to increase animal density gotta have give and take for memory i know that little much about servers

Can somebody explain to me why it is a hardware issue? I mean, I see tons of NPC's on the streets but a few animals are not possible due to hardware issues? In fact animals are just NPC's in different skins right? If they reached the limit on what the hardware can take would it not be a solution to cut some person-NPC's and add animal-NPC's?

 

Serious question, I'm not into this hardware stuff so I have no idea what I'm talking about.

 

GTAV pushes the XBox to its limits as it is.

 

Go up north towards the lumber mill in story mode.

 

There aren't just random NPC's hanging around, but hundreds of cars driving down the highway, birds flying around, deer prancing all over, mountain lions creeping about. Keep in mind that it's only happening in that particular area where you are. On a live server, you can have 16 people in different areas at the same time. That's alot of crap happening simultaneously.
