No Animals besides occasional rare dog

i think it is a bunch of c r a p that R* was pressured into releasing GTAO w/out animals because people are to sensitive and moral that they would take out hunting animals (like people do in real life) when the game GTA itself is all about massacring people endlessly (very unreal) but god forbid if we are able to hunt down animals and take some aggression out on a couple of deer, wolves, or chickens they call that animal abuse but killing hundreds of people is ok and not psychotic?

 

whoever pleaded there case said, "that rockstar is all about money and has no ethics"

are you serious you bought a game that let's you kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people but, killing animals online is an uncomfortable problem for them and they are worried about ethics and morals?!

 

if you dont like killing animals by blowing there brains out of there skull with a high powered rifle bullet then don't play a game where they let you do that DUH!!!

 

btw RDR had all kinds of animal killing offline and online and so what if that's the wild west we hunt animals today with or without tags/perrmits in real life why cant we in a game that is FAKE!!!!???

 

i think that it would be a nice distraction from the gun fights and car chases to go hunting with friends but we can't

 

Go after Cabela and all the other hunting games rather than R*'s GTA series possy fart animal rights lovers

I don't think that's why there are no animals online. More of a hardware issue...

Animals exist..Just not online yet.

yeah it's a hardware thing. Physics seem toned down too. You can't do that thing where you jump then punch and faceplant into the ground. Works in SP but not online. and animal variety is kinda meh in the game anyway. Tons of deer, occasional cougar, birds and dogs. wish they had bears near chilliad

it's not a hardware thing it's a server thing online runs more off servers than your console

It's Rockstar. They thrive on controversy. I seriously doubt they're going to put the kibosh on a hunting DLC because a few non-playing weenies whined about it.

Did you even read the article you cited? It's only talking about Single Player, you numpty.

 

 

At a certain point in gameplay, GTA V Online players will gain control over the character of “Trevor”; using this character, they must complete the “Strangers and Freaks?” mission, after which they are introduced to Cletus. Cletus is a hunting fanatic who teaches the gamer how to target and shoot coyotes, as well as car tires and satellites. With this basic training, gamers can travel to Bayview Lodge in the Paleto Forest and partake of many different hunting missions.

 

Hunting was never in Online, hence why it was also not removed ten days after launch.

RDR didn't run on the same hardcore game engine that GTA runs on, that RDR engine is outdated and 10 x less powerful and demanding

I believe its that in SP the computer only has to render animals around you, but in MP animals around any player have to be rendered, and that creates a lot for the computer to keep track of.

Well Red Dead had animals but hadn't many peds in a town. It was really good for that setting and there was even less people in the forest (like 3-4 guys on horses) so the possibility for animal encounters online was possible. GTA V is a real city with many people no matter where you go (except the northern part of the map where animals could be) but they're in Single Player where online it probably has to generate content for the other players as well....?

 

I'm not into game dev either so I may be talking pure crap but no matter what it is, if animals had to be removed to allow more stuff for online, I'm all for it. I think animals would just be "there" with very few hunting parties.

I'm still not sure you even play the game because 1) you seem to think there are dogs online and 2) you believe an article about Rockstar from a crappy website who has no clue what the difference between GTAV and GTA:O is.....
