I keep seeing little messages about %100 completion.

 

I can't help but wonder who actually does this. The single player is so damn boring and dull who would go out of their way to find f*ckin paper scraps and sh*t?

It's sometimes fun to go for 100%. It can unlock nice things or give the player some more fun in gameplay. I collected 50 Letter Scraps and Spaceship Parts in a total of seven hours and it was fun. I discovered a lot of cool places and at least it's not boring like the Flying Rats in IV. Completely hated the stunt jumps, though.

 

100% completions are for players who like to continue with the gameplay after the story is complete. Nobody is forcing you to do it.

When you have completed 100% of the game's objectives you have achieved something.

Why are you even playing video games? As soon as you stop playing a video game everything you have done in it is completely pointless. It doesn't contribute to the advancement of humanity, it doesn't give you a sense of wellbeing for the rest of your life, and you haven't learnt any useful skills to use in real life.

Both.

 

On one hand,Yeah, picking up the Nuclear waste was completely boring trod and it was really dull and unfun and I wish they couldve done more interesting things with the sub, like finding buried treasure in underwater wrecks or something. That wouldve been 1,000x times more interesting and rewarding.

 

On the other hand, Im a die hard GTA fan and I love doing even the boring things like Paramedic in the III era because I'm a completionist and it's rewarding as hell to open up that pause menu and see 100% complete with 0 deaths 0 busted and 0 cheats used.

 

EDIT: I agree with you with the rewards thing though. At least in the 3D era they gave you cool rewards like Infinite Sprint, so it was WORTH doing the boring paramedic missions etc. GTA4 and V have had really, really sh*tty rewards for doing the tedious stuff. It's been a terrible problem that I couldn't believe wasn't fixed for V.

The only thing wrongthat could be better with achieving 100% is the rewards. Other than that it is a great "activity" for enjoying SP after story completion.

Why don't you just put the whole "I always go for 100% using 0 cheats, 0 replays of missions, 0 deaths, 0 times busted, 0 missions failed, etc..." in your sig, that way you don't have to type it out all the time.

I'm at 92% and all I have left is a golf game (I suck) and the tedious crap like stunt jumps, plane challenges and about 75 collectibles. f*ck all squared I do not want to have to find those scraps and parts.
