R* has a long way to go, to redeem themselves...

This thread was inspired by Killbook's thread....

 

R* has not even come close to redeeming themselves. Some of you out there think they have.

 

The game has been out for nearly 7 months now and this is the FIRST time R* has listened to us (a little). Some of you are praising R* for adding the option for no collisions and owning two garages. TWO f'n things and you all love R* now.

 

Police - everybody has been asking for the option to turn them off. And some you (along with myself, which I've been saying A LOT)... have been saying it will NEVER EVER happen (because of Shark Cards and the greedy evil nature of R*). And now of course, R* is allowing us to be immune to police, "YAY R*", right??? Oh wait, you have to call Lester and spend in-game money for that to happen.... oh look like I was right all along..... R* will never give the option to turn police off in a lobby. I know the fee might only be like $500-$1,000.... but like I always say... over the course of millions of players who play this game, that will turn into purchased Shark Cards........Probability says so.

 

Some of you are also praising R* for ANNOUNCING that there is be NEWS (and only NEWS) on the upcoming heists soon. So they basically tell us that they will give us information on heists soon. And you all are like "Thank you R* for releasing heists, you totally redeemed yourselves".

 

HOW have they redeemed themselves???? Because they are releasing a game feature MONTHS after they initially said they were going to release it????

 

Not to mention, who is asking for more Rifles? Land Vehicles? Capture mode creator??????

 

Last time I checked, the community is asking for.... Flamethrower/chainsaw, air vehicles, and mission creator. Even some people asking for a water DLC to make water exploration actually fun in this game. Not to mention MANY MANY people asking for the casino.... and some more people asking for that stadium place to open up finally....

 

Also with the new patch 1.12 they said they will be resetting people who have glitched the game. once again, "YAY R*", right???

And again... NOPE.

 

Nothing about bans.... nobody will be banned....

 

GEE I WONDER WHY...HMMMM, well for the 'slow' people out there,..... SHARK CARDS. They ban people, then those people can't buy Shark Cards... and so many people have glitched this game.... that would be a lot of lost Shark Cards sales.

 

R* does not care about their "fans". They don't care about gamers and they take zero pride in their work. Of all the things wrong with the gaming industry today.... R* is NEAR THE TOP....... they are right up there with EA.....

But i paid $60 for this game and have been playing it for 6 months. That alone is all that i wanted. A game that lasts..

Atleast they are listening to our ideas? Not many gaming company's will listen to anything we will have to say. Player will give their left nut to get their idea across them and it'll still get shot down. I've been wanting police off also, but, I don't mind paying for them to be off. The game is about making money, and using that money to make more money. Think of it this way. They 500$ you spend to get the cops of you? Rob a store, armored truck, sell a stolen car, and get that back instantly. Or kill a player and take their money. Rockstar are also showing mercy to the people who glitched, letting them off with a warning by resetting them. That's pretty good in my ears. Now they don't need to banned, but they still will be punished. And as for heists? Who says their not going to release it? They will and by doing so, will fulfill their promise. And not to mention, they're adding new guns, cars, and clothes because that's what their DLC's are, and forever will be, consisting off. Maybe they'll throw in a DLC like the creator stuff and heist stuff but their DLC all consists of that. You can ask, or you don't ask, but either way, they will always give the same type of stuff in their DLC's. R* cares enough to make a DLC basically of most of the stuff of what we wanted, so I'm marking that down as they care. Plus, atleast we are getting news on heists. I'd rather news on it rather than hearing it's been cancelled.

Sure, R* f*cked up along the way, but this game is still stupidly fun, and they're taking what we want into account and are actually caring about the fanbase and players, and are trying, slowly to add in the most wanted features, some may be easier than others, but still, most companies are "Hey, here's DLC that we're charging $15 for that should of been in game, go buy it"

My opinion; Rockstar didn't need to redeem themselves at all, the game is awesome. I have been playing it since launch through DNS modders, tank griefers, billion dollar bounties and everything else and i still come back day after day.

You need to temper your sense of entitlement. All I read here is a big complaint. Most of it without merit.

 

You need to understand after 7 mos, they DID listen to us, and were able to potentially code things into the game we wanted. That's pretty quick if you ask me considering they have been battling a lot of modding and cheating while at the same time putting out some new content for us all to chew on, while they continue to develop their secrets.

 

Turning the Police off? You're pissed because you can't? This game has always been based on a cause and affect/action-reaction type of back and forth between you and the cops. From the beginning. Turning them off at least how I see it is against the spirit of the game. Being able to bribe them for a few minutes...that seems more in the spirit of GTA. If you think ANYONE IS BUYING A CASH CARD SO THEY CAN SPEND $600 TO LESTER FOR GETTING RID OF THE COPS....

SMFH that propaganda is worse than things I have heard come out of those mental midgets that call themselves the Tea Party.

 

Less ye forget this is their game, and their vision. Anything they add in that we request, will only be added if it goes along with their vision. Am I a little upset we still don't have Heists? Well, yes I am. If they show they show, if they don't, well, at least I was able to buy more space to have more cars. WE ALL PLAY IN THEIR WORLD. Deal with it or go play Uno.

 

 

 

And to boot, EA is FAR FAR worse a gaming company than Rockstar.

Vooodu, you and I don't see eye to eye on some things, but when it comes to the big picture, we're on the same page. GTAO isn't perfect, but what we have right now is damn good, and it's going to get better.

 

This kid fish61324 is one of the more notorious whiners on the forum and clearly needs to get his head out of his ass if he believes R* owes him anything.
