Vapid Stainer painted yellow or you could call for a taxi and just jack it.

Dude. Just get a Town Car, paint it black, and pretend you're an executive service.

There are actually three kinds of taxi in Gta 4.The one you missed is the Vapid Minivan, that is the only one that can still be painted to look like the taxi. The vapid Stainer is not suitable enough and the Merit is now laying amongst the wreckages of Uranus and Blista Compacts.

We can mod a special color called Worn Taxi Yellow onto any car of your choice ;)

I think jacking a taxi would be the most authentic.

Biggie Kaniff

Take the Stanier or Minivan and paint them yellow OP, that gives kinda taxi feeling.

Ultimate thing would be to create a crew that has "Taxi" written as the crew emblem, but maybe you don't want to leave your crew for that. :santa:

Real gangsters ride in town cars, just saying... you need that TCP on the bumper...

Minivan or Stanier, bro.

But you know. I already offer VIP taxi service anyway (ie. unconventional taxi vehicle) so there's that

Stanier or minivan painted yellow may give you the Taxi feel, or steal a camper and paint it secondary color green and primary color white and you have a 2000's mexican public transport combi.

Can't you just call the cab service online and hijack the car they bring to you?

you can, but you can't store it to keep it. pretty sure OP is wanting something they can store and upgrade (armor/eng mods/etc.) to have fun with. personally i'd just call for a real one everytime.

It may be nice in general, but I still can't figure, why do you need it, OP? Want a cab, call a cab and use it. Since there are no taxis in traffic in GTAO it will be hard to merge with traffic going off-radar.

Modifications? Base model of taxi has pretty balanced specs, so adding turbo won't be dramatic in the term of speed, since you can almost drive it without brake, unless want a full stop or smooth 180. Armor is useless, windows are exposed, max speed is a joke. Custom tires won't help traction. Why not use in-game cab, it costs chicken sh*t and no insurance required. Brake it, drop it.

If you want to start cab service for players, buy Exemplar, Super Diamond, Felon or any other 4-door sedan, mod it and be badass transporter.

If you jailbreak your console you can have a mod which allows you to spawn ANY vehicle in your garage with any mods you like. This means, you could have a taxi fully modded any time you like.

Or, you could have a fully modded chrome police cruiser if that's your thing.

I hate Modders normally, but the guy I ran into who showed me this was actually the very rare breed who didn't go around blowing everything up with a water gun in a alien costume.

This is probably the only reason I would ever jailbreak if it didn't have so many risks.

PS2 era had 2 types of taxi: Taxi and Cabbie.

Plus, there are special ones called Borgnine (red taxi) and Zebra Cab. Probably I'm still missing the other special taxi.
