The High Life Update Release Date?

I haven't made a single comment on when the DLC is supposedly coming out, but I was quite confident that it was going to be released today. It's a common marketing strategy amongst video game developers to hold an event the weekend before the Tuesday of a release. In this case, we received 2 XP last weekend.

 

Very unusual that nothing was released today.

I give it either next week or the week after. I honestly have no idea what's causing them to hold off on it. You would think that the update would be ready to go, the cars look finished, the gun looks complete as well, the new cloths I'm not to sure of. But other then that, it seems complete and ready for release.

The fault in your logic is that your assuming that the release has been held off. Much of what we have recieved in the DLC packs (the named ones) was likely completed at launch and was scheduled all along to be dripped out in this way. Example would be the creator packs. They used these creators to make the Rockstar missions...of course they are all complete. Yet we get them one at a time. They are following their schedule not ours.

The history here shows they would have named the event related to the update and announced the update last week.

 

Keep in mind guys Mothers Day is Sunday...they like holiday event weekends.

 

Oh and Fathers Day is June 15th...also a Sunday and also midway through the last month in "Spring" as devs see it.

 

Shopping for mothers...criminal activities for fathers? I don't know kinda seems to all line up in my mind.

So roughly how long after announcing a release date does Rockstar usually release updates? Say we get a release date today, would it be reasonable to expect that the date is set for a few days later? A week?

 

 

 

Rockstar will...
• Cut it as close as they can to the end of spring
• Delay it further because they can't keep to a date
• Cancel it because it's too good to be true

 

Heists are also supposed to come out in spring.

20th or 27th.They're by far the most likely.It won't be out the 13th and dlc is almost always on a Tuesday.

Do you have a reason for not the 13th? Or just gut feeling?Rockstar always delay things.They said highlife is out in may which gives them the whole month to release it and since heists are SUPPOSED to be released in June people will have more patience if they've gotten new content at the end of may,than at the start of it.
