With randoms that is. Im sure collisions on will ve default and most races hosted today still have catchup and slipstream despite the b*tch and moaning. Bet nothing changes in random races also.

lol I can't do anything on forza 5 anymore. Every lobby is a derby.

 

I might use it if drafting is still enabled. Without those two options, you're basically racing alone.

Most randoms would just start the race, regardless of options.

They probably don't wanna hassle with the different options and just get it over with, except for hosts with actual mics.

While they are fixing the problem with races they need to make drifting realistic. I'm tired of sliding around a corner then the TCS kicks in killing the power and fun. I love drifting/power sliding my corquette but simple things ruin it for me.

 

Slipstream also needs to be toned down.

Exactly the way i see it, If you can't win a race or pass someone without smashing into them on purpose then your a p***y and it makes it look like you can't win a race without doing it.

Does it matter??!! The fact is it will be there now, so it will stop all the bitching about racing and pitting now. Oh and I bet it does get used, you'd never know either way considering you can't be in every single race from then on in.

I'd turn it on for sh*ts and giggles every now and then.

But, people are more angry at the community than the system when it comes to PITing. It sacrifices realism for safety. The only problem is you can't just get people to stop playing games how they want to without causing waves.

It seems catchup and slipstream are on more often than not so I would assume the same with collisions. People dont knowhow to host a good race sometimes

I can guarantee I'll use it and prove my point....I can race motherf*ckers. Bumping to make a move but,not intentional - fine (drafting and holding your spot and wait to make your move is racing) but,being a dick and bumpercaring/pitting/dick pit is not cool. My last race was not long ago with some cool cat's (the one that you race around the whole map - forget the name). We all played it clean and by far,these guy's were in an upper class than me. Made the right move at the right time,I was in 1st for the last leg of the race - finished a proud 2nd. Great race guy's.

I agree just like how catchup and slipstream are always on. I imagine there won't be slipstream with ghost though because you could just slipstream right through people which wouldn't be fair.

GTA4, pitting is impossible against a pro racer. holding both triggers down gives the player full control on where they are going when someone tries to do

 

that manuever. just goes to show gta4 had better controls on the vehicle you're driving whether in the air, or on the ground. nothing was impossible to stop.

 

GTA5 racing is so childish. Casual racing shmucks with their handicaps. Holding down the gas in GTA4 was the wrong thing to do. Let on it alittle and then

 

push it down when at full speed. Let on the brakes alittle on turns but never fully stop to keep the momentum going so the car can accelerate faster when

 

the car is still at third gear. 2nd gear and below, the acceleration isn't as fast as 3rd gear. Every little curb, light pole, traffic cone, could be the end of

 

you're winning streak. And when you face someone that can keep up with you, its so amazing cause they know what you know and it becomes a heart

The OP is waging a fool's bet, because most of the people I know who enjoy racing are pretty stoked about this new option.

Im talking about random lobbies not ones with like minded friends. I am talking about when you go on your phone and join a random race. That is the my point. Most of the gta community is not9t on here yet everyone b*tched about catchup and slipstream always on so they added an option. I have yet see a majority of lobbies with These options changed. Same I am thinking with ghost

GT5 and 6 suck ass! I would know I have both.

 

I grew up on the drag strip and road courses so racing is a big deal in my life. Hell I work for the national corvette museum and soon to be national corvette motorsport park so I take my racing serious even in video games and GT falls flat compared to Forza or other sims. I have my issues with Forza but GT3 was the real deal and PD f*cked it up!

 

Tl:dr version: hearing the name "Gran Turismo" pisses me off.

I hope it's not used, cars breezing through each other is going to ruin the racing. There's a difference between ramming and close racing, ask any Touring Car driver lol.
