Remember when you had to go into battle with a useless pistol or not so good SMG while everyone else had rifles & on top of that they knew the map. Now new players have it where they can purchase a good rifle from the get go & plus they no longer need to worry about ranking up because of rooftop rumble. Note, I'm all for giving players a fighting chance but its nothing like just having a pistol with low health while 3 other players try to kill you with assault rifles.

I remember my first ever job was a free-for-all deathmatch (can't remember the map) and I had nothing but a pistol and micro SMG. Needless to say I got destroyed.

Pistols are still a good weapon. Fastest possible head shot is with a pistol.

Probably the ones that knew the game, I remember I was grinding for the 20K+ house lol people can do that with ease now & when I joined all the races & jobs just got nerfed.

Pistols are still a good weapon. Fastest possible head shot is with a pistol.

You can't get a headshot while the person is camping on the roof or is at a certain distance.

I've been using the Heavy Pistol whenever I don't have out the Advanced Rifle.

Love that thing, good sound, good head shots. Would've loved to be able to start with it.

Ah yes, I remember when a video was first posted about it here and everyone was just enjoying it on hard and even found a way to glitch it.

 

Not many people tried it though because they were nervous about getting killed easily with their starting weapons.

No. I completely no lifed this game at the start, so I was never really outgunned.

That was pretty fun. That was when no one had unlocked all the cheap crap we now see on a daily basis, and when gunfights were actually fun, and even meaningful.

It blows a car up faster and cheaper than any other weapon can. (RPG is expensive, plus takes long to reload in case you missed, Sticky are $500 etc)

Fun fact, if someone is trying to sticky your car, aim at the sticky bomb, it will go off and it will explode his car. Not too sure about the insurance costs as he basically blows it up himself through your help (all you did is shooting the sticky while he was carrying it)

Pretty sure people became millionaires off those missions, you also could just press replay. New players still are in awe when they get their first taste of rooftop rumble.

from what i can tell it's really not much different now. mainly because they don't have their stats up yet so they are not playing with full ammo and can run out pretty fast with the blown out PvP's known as free roam these days. i think it was a good thing that R* has given those players decent weapons to use against the higher ranks. not as many people as you think are doing RR (or whatever is the hot rank up mission is for the moment) because they just simply don't know that many people and if they do then i would imagine they're doing so in Invite lobbies. more often then not these days some of those "noob" players are actually people just building up their second character and those are the ones to watch. they can be pretty deadly.
