How can anyone be expected to spend up to $1 million on a car when they are yet to drive it? I know you can test them in races, but that isn't as straight forward as free roaming with the vehicle.

I think you could pay about 1% of the vehicle price to test drive it for an in-game hour or two, and that would be refunded if you purchased the vehicle afterwords?

Edit: The second part of the poll is just a joke from GTA IV

Great idea,

Also, hate the second poll option.

You can already test drive cars before you buy them in Online.

There's like... people who don't ever play the story.... y'know.

There is a garage in sp where all the dlc cars are available for test drive.

The story mode has every car from online. Use the billions of dollars there and upgrade everything on the car and see if you like it. If not, then you don't even have to save.

Well then, perhaps they should go play it if they want to test drive cars before buying them. :sarcasm:

You can also find majority of cars online to steal and test also.

This. You could even use the content creator to build yourself a little test drive track and leave every vehicle enabled that way you can test drive them in peace any time you like.

Yes. Try before you buy. SP, a friends or some new test drive arrangement. But OP I can't vote, I don't know how riding a scooter makes you fat?

Edit: Also drive by the Mors insurance site when you can and new cars will appear to try for free. That's how I tested the Turismo.

I usually go into the creator, choose the car I want to try and then just drive it around when you're in the checkpoint placement mode

Made a track to compare various sports cars (left all classes open for future use), updated it to include the business cars after that update. Got it a few plays from promoting it the day of the dlc, before r* added them to the official races.

Terrazi Terrajin

It's called playing offline, turning off autosave and then buying the car with a much more easily obtained fortune.
You can buy most supers on your phone still offline, not to mention the spawn spots are more reliable for those that cannot be purchased. AND THE BEST PART? DLC cars are free to claim for any of your 3 character's garages.

It doesn't actually, there's a few missing. Stinger GT and Monroe aren't in Single Player IIRC.

Most of the online people did not play story mode thus they donot have money at SP, also no mods are open at SP too.

Thus they need the test drive cars at online.

If they finish the story on single player then they will have all the mods open much cheaper than online and they can buy almost every car with their 20 million on each charachter...

I'm one of many that completed Single Player and have that to use to test cars and I don't understand people that just jump in Online, without bothering to even play Single Player. Yes, they paid for the game and can do what they want and I respect that. I just don't understand people who would skip on playing a (basically) different game. Content Creator is also a good way (which I never use due to first reason mentioned) that everyone can do. But I agree with the topic; we should be able to call Lester and, say, call "Locate A Car" and a drop-down menu shows car classes, pick one, pick a car, voila! You have the car for 24 hours in-game. Cannot be modded or saved. Once destroyed, you need to wait 12 hours in-game to call again. A fee of $400-$800 to use, depending on car class.

That's the best poll I've ever seen. :p
I love that commercial in GTA IV.

"Who cares, you're on a scooter and they're not."

*edit*
Also, in-game hour is around...90 seconds? Something like that. Not enough to try it out.

You can - it's called Single Player. I do it with every car I'm planning to buy. You can find 90% of the cars on the streets.

It would be awesome if they just had car dealerships, at least for the luxery cars (100k+).

So that you can walk around the car, view the stats (just like in your garage) and have the option to take it for a testdrive.
Wich would put you in a mission or solo play type of server and lets you test the car for a few min.

A bit like they did in Test Drive Unlimited:2, it doesn't even have to be detailed. But would make the world of GTA:O feel much more alive.

Dealership in TDU2:

It would be even more awesome if they added a simple marketplace type of thing, where people could sell their used vehicles.

The Stinger GT is correct, that's a online car only. However you're wrong about the Monroe, I've in Michaels garage. (Unless they've removed it from offline because it's a utility)..
