Mansions idea

Let me start this off by saying that i don't expect mansions to ever be added to GTAO, it just seems like too big of a task for Rockstar.

 

Over the last few days I've been enjoying house hunting, just exploring areas and looking for nice houses that i'd love to own, And then i had a thought. Everyone's biggest issue with Mansions is the difficulty in having multiple people owning a single house and how unfeasible that is.

 

My idea is that Rockstar could create maybe 10 interiors for houses each being different and each representing a different size of house. They would then need to match up those interiors with houses that were appropriate in GTA, and keep going until every single house/trailer/livable space has an interior. Then they would be able to release these houses to the players at extremely inflated prices and sell them on a first come first serve basis with each house only having one owner in the entire game. Kind of like a special promotional event. Possibly even make the houses sell able after purchase, which would create a figment of a real functioning economy in game.

Knowing this community, they would be gone within thirty seconds.

 

A special promotion for a rare house would be cool though. Maybe a draw as part of a Weekend Event?

They'll probably add ultra luxury penthouses, helipad access, maybe indoor pools, etc. Won't have mansions most likely ever. Hopefully they give us good options to change up our current layouts. Me I would love a black onyx tile bathroom, and kitchen, but that's just wishful thinking.

Haha. You're not the first person to underestimate how many people actually play this game worldwide. If this were to happen, they would be so rare that you would be lucky to find a player who actually owns a house in your lifetime.

Haha. You're not the first person to underestimate how many people actually play this game worldwide. If this were to happen, they would be so rare that you would be lucky to find a player who actually owns a house in your lifetime.

 

It really depends on the price. There has to be somewhere around 1000 possible properties in the game when you think about all of the areas with housing. And then when you factor in an inflated price (say 50m for the cheapest?) it'd give people the opportunity to get one by buying cash cards or grinding quicker than anyone else. I know that this game sold a lot of copies, and a pretty significant portion of those people will play online. But, only a very small minority would care enough to either spend that amount of money or grind for that long just to get a sh*tty trailer in blaine county.

 

But you're right, you'd probably never meet your neighbors if you got your hands on a house.

Yeah i know, i'm an idiot. Just something that i couldn't help but think about when exploring all of the houses.
