Transferring Cars Between Multiple Properties?

When the new DLC comes out, will we be able to transfer cars between two properties?

 

Or will we be forced to buy and upgrade cars we already own in order to "move" them to a new property?

Because right now I have my top 10 favorite cars.

 

When I get a new apartment, I don't want the entire garage to be second class.

 

Also, I am going to group certain car types together, such as muscle cars.

Imagine this: You call your mechanic to deliver a vehicle from Garage 1. You park that vehicle at Garage 2, walk away, and later note that it is back at its assigned parking spot in Garage 1.

 

The last update allowed us to call the mechanic when outside our apartments, so if it's in Garage 1 and you're at Garage 2, just walk outside and call it.

 

When you've got 20 cars I can't see how you're going to be able to see more than the 10 which are officially stored in that garage. What I'm wondering is: drive a car out of Garage 1 when Garage 2 is already full - will you be able to drive into Garage 2 in that car at all?

 

The following are possibilities:

1. Not being able to drive into the other garage at all

2. Not being able to drive into the other garage unless there's a space (which would allow rearranging)

3. Being able to drive in but being asked which car you want to swap to your other garage (again, allowing rearranging, and consistent with 2)

4. Being able to drive in but the car automatically going back to your other garage

5. Both garages showing all 20 cars together (not a chance!)

 

2 and 3 would be excellent. Here's hoping.

YES. Rockstar confirmed you'll be able to drive cars from one garage into another, and that'll place the vehicle in the first available spot and/or replace any existing vehicle if the destination garage is full.

if I have 2 full garage, and I take 1 car out from garage-1, then drive to garage 2

what happen to this car taken from garage-1?

it just return to garage-1 or I have to transfer 1 car to garage-2 for a room?

My worry - what happens if Garage 1 is full and garage 2 is full, does that mean we have to sell a car to rearrange them all? I'm trying to think what new cars I need now and starting to save.... this is going to be such a money-sink. Shame we cant transfer across all the cars from character 2 as I played my 2nd one just for the extra garage space

Nice! I already have my first garage situated almost how i want it except for 4 cars i would move to my second garage. Then i'll put 4 new movie/tv cars in the original garage and have the second garage for sports cars and supers and other random stuff.

with all the duplication glitches and sh*t we had using 1 garage, I just can't imagine R* adding another one and the ability to transfer vehicles without any exploits or bugs whatsoever.

 

it is cool that we'll be able to transfer though as my current garage looks like a mess.

I assume it will go into any open slot first in either garage if there is one. If both garages are full you will most likely be able to choose any of your 20 cars to replace. If you have a free slot in garage 1 i'd guess it will go there first. I assume garage 1 will have cars 1-10 and garage 2 will have 11-20 and when you call your mechanic you'll get a list of 20 with your top 10 cars being garage 1 cars and bottom 10 garage 2.

I was wondering that if we have 2 apartments, we will only still be able to keep our current vehicles or be able to buy different vehicles for our new apartment and if there isn't the vehicle you want at your current apartment, have a list to show your other vehicles too.

 

And then have a black screen and show you outside with the vehicle from your other apartment.

Wow, and I thought I was borderline OCD. It's not as if you need to move the Entity to pull out the lawnmower, or grab the box of Christmas lights. I honestly don't get it, the ease of access to vehicles already is mind-blowingly simple as it is, but hey, whatever floats your boat I guess.

My guess is you simply drive a car over to your second garage, and it'll just put whatever car is in the same slot into your first garage.

Maybe they will bring back some use to the Packer. That way we could drive it to a garage, ask which cars to load up and how many...then drive it to another garage and then swap the vehicles..?

That is actually a great ideaIt will likely be dropped in the first available slot...and assume garage 2 will be 11 - 20. You would be able to use junk stolen cars to fill slots and then be able to force the drop.
