Boy, there are a lot of idiots Online

Prolly not too much of a shocker to anyone. I'm not talking about the griefers, chrome adder knobs, or the usual things in Free Mode. I'm talking specifically about the number of idiots on mics. Naturally I just mute those people, and play on. Once in awhile I'll see I ended up in a lobby with someone I muted maybe a week ago. Didn't think I had muted that many people until I was in a lobby tonight with just about every person being muted by me at some point. There may have been 1 or 2 not.

 

Now I consider myself a patient man. I normally don't mind hearing some trash talk, crewmates having some convo, or the eventual racial blasts. But I will give an automatic mute to anyone doing any of the following:

 

Blowing/breathing in the mic. Modding your voice really high and yelling about nothing. Eating stuff(really mute your mic if you're gonna snack on something). Blaring music constantly. Singing horridly.

 

It really amazes me just how many idiots there are on GTAO. I always wonder the mindset of these people, and if they actually think they are accomplishing anything by doing these things. Especially when there's a mute button just a few button presses away. But with over 1million people playing, I suppose the percentages just beg to have the idiot factor high.

The heavy breathing confuses me. Do people think that's... scary? Annoying? Attractive? What are they trying to convey? What emotion do they want to invoke in others? The only thing I feel for them is pity and that is the worst form of attention. They must be desperate if they will eat up pity from strangers over GTA Online.

I was in a special lobby yesterday. I joined a lobby with clear-quality hip-hop/rock playing. I never heard that music before and no one was talking so I had music played by another guy and was doing my own thing. It was a cool experience.

I'm usually the one trying to make people pissed by talking like a dick or One Direction in the background while telling everyone I'm hardcore but I agree; people in GTA:O are dicks. No one is real fun. They're always on the mic to tell me to shut up. Like, what's the point of owning a mic, then?
