So I stand by my statement that Ft. Zancudo is overpowered as f*ck and getting a jet is impossible by yourself. Rank 154 and I've yet to be able to do it without several other people distracting the godmode AI. Bring on the forum warriors who've "never died getting a jet lol"

The US military DOES NOT patrol bases with f*cking tanks and missiles and trucks full of armed men. The MPs roll around in police cars and are armed with M9s.

 

But f*ck all that. I'm not getting into that sh*t again. Fort Zancudo is unrealistically overpowered and absolutely no fun at all. The goddamn Lazer needs to be available from Pegasus.

Still haven't been able to get one lol. Came close twice but both ended in me hitting something on my ascent. It really ain't that hard though. If anything be nice for a couple minutes and get somebody to go with you. Randoms love going to Zancudo.

It's honestly not too hard. You have two options: 1) jump in with a car 2) fly in with a helicopter.

 

For option 1, you need to either use the hill to the right to get in past the gate, or use one of the hills on the mountain next to the fort. After this, you need to find a jet that isn't really being swarmed by the red dots. Shoot any enemies and get in. Fly up and avoid the missiles and you've got your jet. It's that simple.

 

For option 2, it's even easier. Just hover over to any jet and take it. Follow the steps in option 1 for the rest.

I used to be able to go in, parachuting, grab a jet, call Lester when I've cleared the fence and have myself a perfect jet with no cops in less than a minute. I can still manage but a few nights ago I died like 10 times with 6 tanks after me, they were all waiting by the jump near the mountain (one you jump over the fence using the mountain face). It just has the worst spawning is all. They don't come from a hangar of tanks or a depot of trucks, no, they just spawn around the corner.

If they could fix this, it would be okay with me to die because it would give me X amount of time to steal a jet.

Blah blah blah. I hear the same sh*t from everyone. I get an instant 4 star. Doesn't matter if I parachute, drive, fly, or use a f*cking active camo device from Halo. By the time my character jumps on the fuselage of the jet I'm surrounded by troops and dead.

 

The sh*t is rediculously overpowered and unrealistic. Either take the tank AWAY from pegasus or ADD the jet...

Star = Lazer

Red Path = Car

Green Path = Lazer

Black = Fence (take advantage of the natural terrain in front of it which acts as a ramp)

Strangely I have never encountered a tank using the North Approach.

 

For me getting the jet is easy but getting out can be tricky (if they shoot missiles that is).

While it is easy enough to get a Lazer I find sometimes you fall into a pattern of unlucky tank spawns. (I'm talking 5+ tanks in front of the hangars)

What sh*ts me is when I fly/drive into that open hanger which appears to be all clear, no tanks in sight only red dots around the sides of the building but as soon as I drive in and turn my back on the door BOOM tank spawns right behind me. Not to mention quite often they don't even spawn.

 

9 times out of 10 you can't get one that hasn't taken a few rounds. It is also a long way to Fort Zancudo. For these reasons I would prefer having my own delivered.

I haven't played online in a while so the AI has probably changed, but it's an equal challange of some times suceeding, sometimes failing. I land a buzzard right next to the jet. Kill any military near by. Get in hoping not to get shot by a tank. Fly right up in the air, and if I hear a rocket come near, nose dive suddonely to let the missile fly over. Do this enough to no longer hear the missiles.
Sometimes they hit, sometimes they dont, and sometimes they never actually shoot. Helps if you have a high rank and a helicopter with firepower.
