Bring original customs emblems back!

I started this topic because I believe its not fair that we are no longer able to upload svg files and use those images as our crew emblem.

 

Oblivious to the fact that it had been patched I spent all day creating this emblem:

 

Only to realise that it has been patched I am very annoyed. I'm annoyed not only because I spent a long time creating this emblem, but because all of those crews with original custom emblems get to keep them. Surely its not fair that any new crews from now have to use the awful emblem creator to create some awful looking icons to represent their crew?

 

I know it was most likely patched because of people uploading explicit images, but even again people can just do the same with emblem editor. If someone does upload an explicit image then rely on players to report it.

It takes a lot of effort in the emblem creator to make a decent logo. But it can be done, made some really nice ones, it just took days of editing, layering etc.

Just having a screening system for uploaded logos would solve this issue. I could create an amazing logo with coreldraw in about 5-10mins as opposed to hours with the R* creator.

I find the current editor really crappy because sometimes it wont save properly. Then it shows as a broken file.

It's a hell of a lot better than the OJ or blue crew colors like every other crew out there,

You can't form an opinion on something you haven't seen though, the snapmatic makes the colors look different than they actually are

I saw a bunch, I even saw a crew that was dedicated in putting fake celebrity porn as their logo.

Exactly why they're gone. But then again, people can create provocative images with the emblem creator. We can always report these images and some still may exist as it is anyway.

Also most corporate logos are not very complex or hard to duplicate via the creator. How hard to replicate the nike logo?

You know what grinds my gears about this?? The fact they advertise crews with custom emblems we can't do anymore. It is absolute crap. I am not one to complain about unfair things, but this is just stupid af.

Yes this is exactly my point! It's not fair that they advertise crews in the crew cut that have these fancy emblems that they have created themselves. You never see any that have been created using the emblem creator because they're just not presentable, its ridiculous!

Now this is sick, but it would just take way much longer than it would using photoshop or some over piece of software.

All I can say is it won't happen until they update/upgrade the social club. I doubt very highly they ever will unless they find moderators and go with their own image host.

What get's me is they can host images taken with our phones but,can screen and host our own creations.

The QOTD emblem is pretty impressive too. Especially when it was created with the official editor.

I agree for some of us the Emblem Creator is a hard tool to use..and needs some polishing up

 

I have been looking for a program that will allow me open an Image set the transparency of that window then place it on top of another window(or program) and keep it in place while i use the shapes and stuff in the emblem creator to re-create my image

 

If anyone knows of such a program PM me please.....I am running Win7 64 bit edition ......preferably it would be open source or free software
