Koenigsegg Discussion

As the title states, how often do you see one? Doesn't matter which model. Is it road legal?

There's only one for sale here in the lovely land of Oz, probably the Southern Hemisphere. An unconfirmed rumor is that's it's not road legal... yet . It's a car that easily grabs your attention. Even a Lamborghini does that, we have infinite numbers here, mostly a Murcielago also Ferrari 458s :p but never a Superleggera because the rear spoiler may get you into serious trouble, silly Australian road rules...

How often do you see a Koenigsegg in the States? Or parts of Europe?

Are you just kidding about the Superleggera spoiler getting you in trouble ie hoon laws?

Also where did you hear the rumour about that CCX not being road legal(yet)?

Here in Victoria, the spoiler on a Superleggera is not permitted because the driver behind "can't see". I've witnessed a Superleggera owner get booked where the copper points at his rear wing. It's ridiculous because I've seen illegal modifications on Supras, Civics & Imrezas & they never get booked.

For the Koenigsegg, a car club page on facebook. That Koenigsegg is 6 years old & hasn't done much km's. Probably spends its life inside a truck, car shows & a garage.

That fine wouldn't stand up in court. The rear visibility is minimal as is anyway, can't see how a spoiler affects it. When I drove a Superleggera I couldn't see f*ck all.

I don't see how a Koenig's spoiler would reduce the visibility for the car driving behind it any more than an SUV or pickup truck would.

I have never seen one ever in my life. But I suppose if you hung around Malibu or South Florida or someplace similar you would eventually see one although it would be rare. The rarest vehicle I have ever seen in person was a 1980s Countach

I never thought i would see an 80s countach, ferrari GTO, Shelby GT500 Eleanor and a classic Ford GT40 at a classic car show in freaking Indonesia ! (I live there). The best thing is that all the cars were owned by the people in Jakarta, not imported just to be shown at a car show but literally owned by people, its not even the last place that i would expect to see such awesome cars, except the GT40 though, it is imported from an independent car manufacturer who imported the separate parts and rebuild them here. They have imported FDs, GTRs, and even an ACR Viper !

As for koenigseggs, i dont think anyone would want to own them in Jakarta. Way too many holes on the road caused by floods ! And the increasingly annoying traffic jam. Though i heard a rumor about a ridiculously rich guy who went to Paris motor show last year and was one of the first people to order a frigging LaFerrari !

I havent seen jack sh*t to be honest... Never a Lambo, an Eleanor GT 500, any other Ferrari than the 360, 430 or the 612, and certainly not a Koenigsegg. Only a sh*tload of Porsches....

This expensive stuff is too expensive in Estonia and in Tartu these cars just dont drive, only in Tallinn.

One drove past me once, and I saw one for sale at a luxury car dealership (both in Joburg, S.Africa). I know nothing about Keonigsegg, so it might have been other cars, I don't know, but I THINK the one that drove past me had Koenigsegg written on the back, can't remember. Again, I might be mistaken.

I also just saw a Koenigsegg CCXR for sale online on a South African site for approximately 9 million South African Rand, which is about 900 000 US dollars. This one

That's about it...

Never have I seen one although one CCX was registrated in the country 5 years ago.

I've seen some cool cars in Pärnu though because of some Gran Turismo event and Gumball 3000 that passed through here last year. Like this one for example

If a supperleggera passes ADR and can be registered then I don't see how a cop can fine you.

Surely if it got rego, it is road legal.

Why isn't the Veyron legal in Australia

Never seen a Koenigsegg.. because there's only 1 in my country

The Koenigsegg CCXR Platinuss E100 is a new special edition car that was first unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in the year 2010. It has been limited to only one unit which has been specially built for a wealthy customer in Brazil. The car has been completely customized because of the strict emission regulations so that it can use bio-ethanol and it has been named after a Brazilian dealership.

The car is adjusted to the strict emission standards in Brazil. The car is adjusted to run on bio-ethanol. The use of bio-ethanol didn't affect the performance of the Koenigsegg. The car stil produces 1018 hp, just like before. Next to this adjustment to the engine, the car also got a special paint as requested by the customer. Next to that, the front splitter is also bigger than the normal version. Due these adjustments, the car got a special name, CCXR Platinuss E100. Named after the Brazilian dealership of Koenigsegg!

But that dealership's closed now (the owner of the dealership is a billionaire, owner of Friboi)

Koenigsegg One:1 is sex. Mosy common super cars I see are Lamborghinis (Aventador & Gallardo), Ferraris (458, California & F12) & once saw a Saleen S7 but that was on a car transport truck :p I'm yet to see a Koenigsegg in person. A CCX would be in my dream garage.

I wonder if GTA V and Online will see a version of the ONE:1? Perhaps having it as the best Super Car, even outclassing things such as the Adder, Entity, Zentorno, and Turismo. Or maybe it will get its own class, Mega, in which only ONE:1s can race against other ONE:1s. Sorry for the necro but this seemed like the most on topic place to post this.
