The kid secretly uses fire escape stairs to climp in to other apartments in the building. He becames friend with some black kids in that area. At one point he sneaks inside some thugs apartment and steals gold chain. Film is from 90s or 2000s. Whats that film? Been trying to find out what it was for many years.. Some other scenes I can remember is the kids robbing peoples handbags or something like that in the street and I think the kids were break dancing in some scene. Other than that I can't remember. I think the latter was on a mission to look for his mom. All I remember is: -The babysitter getting his ass kicked by a trucker(?) because the MC man kept honking at the latter. -Him abandoning the guy in the rain, only to return to pick him up. -A little girl writing 14(the day of her birthday) on the palm of the MC man's hand. -And I think the ending involved fireworks, and the guy finally finding his mother. Maybe Brazil or Colombian. It looked kinda similar to movie City of god, but maybe not as violent. It was long time ago when I watched some of the episodes, so can't remember what the name was. edit: hmm..... maybe it actually was City of Men. 2002-2005. (Cidade dos Homens) its basicly a tv spin-off of the movie city of god. Not sure yet. The movie is about an old man who kidnaps a young girl about 12 or 13 years old and by luring her in a bunker underneath the ground and kills her and the story is then narritated from her point of view in heaven as she watches her sister who suspects he is the one and searches his house for evidence and he realizes she is getting close to finding out it really was him so he puts the girl body in a safe and dumps it into a huge sink hole that the town as been using as a landfil before it's due to be filled in Arrows to Athens 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Time Ranger Posted November 25, 2020 Share Posted November 25, 2020 I'm trying to place a tv show from when I was a kid. It was on Fox Kids or Jetix as it was also known as, I think. I'm guessing it's from the late 1990's or very early 2000's. It was animation, mech battles between two teams, they were inside the mechs, the main character had a red mech, at one stage he got an upgrade and got a hoverboard for his mech, there was a side character who I liked, he was Asian, had a green mech that used a katana. The animation style was distinct, not exactly cel-shaded but maybe similar? Some of this might be mixed up but I only have a few memories to go on. Some gang of boys bully him and in the end of the movie they are on their bicycles and one of the bully boys has knife and stabs the boy while riding past him. I think the boy maybe dies then and the movie ends. One of the bully boys had blond hair dye in a very 1990s way lol. Dont remember much else. Its 90s or maybe early to mid 2000s movie.
