Looks like something from GTA maps that tracks the locations of all the snapmatics you've taken.

;)

From the "About" page:

Snapmatic is the iFruit camera app. This website adds two missing features:

- Photo Map. Snapmatic stores geodata for each photo - but it doesn't have something like Google Maps with a photo overlay. Here it is. It may not have your photos yet, but whenever you make a backup, it automatically adds them to the map.

- Backup Utility. Cloud storage is a major pain, especially when it's limited to 96 photos. To save them on your own computer, you have to manually download 96 images named "0_0.jpg" from the Social Club website. This is your one-click alternative. It keeps all metadata, and even works for crew photos. Once you've made a backup, you can delete the photos from the Snapmatic Gallery. One by one - that's something only iFruit can fix.

Please keep in mind that this service is highly unofficial and experimental. In case it ever becomes popular, backups are going to get pretty slow. In the worst case, iFruit will block them. But hopefully they'll just copy the features and add them to the next version of the Snapmatic app.

Yes, Snapmatic is tracking you.

Here's a population density map of Los Santos, based on the Snapmatic metadata. Blue is story mode, red is online.

is there any more information about this or who created it

Or where you can find it?

It's a website that shows 100.000+ Snapmatic pictures on an interactive map. Think Google Maps with photo overlay. Also, it lets you back up (i.e. download to your computer) all your Snapmatic photos, or all pictures taken by your crew. To do this manually is a pain in the ass. Here it's just one click.

I created it, and you can find it here: http://grandtheftdata.com/snapmatic

Thanks! I'm KimFowleyJr, but I'm afraid I'm currently maxed out in terms of crew memberships.

But I'm following the photography threads on these forums, and will keep importing most of the photos posted there.

Interestingly, the highest-density spot in GTA Online is the SW corner of Legion Square, which for some unknown reason is where every single 10-car garage is located, and where players who exploit the "kill others in their garage" glitch appear on the map.

Not a big computer person but I'd guess that since all garages are instanced the underground carpark there at Legion Square is the games' physical location for them. That corner is where I always spawn when I leave or time out joining a mission from my garage.

Awesome, my photos are not incorporated though...

When you back up your photos, they get added to the map.
