Bullpup Rifle - Impressions/Thoughts?

Since most of the attention seems to be towards the new vehicles, why not talk about the new weapon in the upcoming 'High Life' Update for GTA V/Online?

 

What are your impressions of the Bullpup Rifle? And where do you think it will stand statistically among the other assault rifles?

At first glance it looks sort of like a Famas G2. Although, from Rockstar's image, the design only seems to look like an assault rifle variant of the Assault SMG. Unfortunately, not as unique as the last update's SpecialCarbine. (G36C).

We need something semi-auto in the assault rifle class like an M14 or something.

I just wonder what the point of it is. The DLC weapons so far have been hit & miss (largely miss) when it comes to what the point of them is compared to other similar weapons.

 

Weapns need more distinction and unique utility aplications.

I don't really care for it. I would like another drive by smg. The new AR just looks like the advanced AR and isn't really that different. But hey, anything new is always welcomed so I'm not complaining. Someone else will probably value it much more than I.

Like OP said... it looks a lot like the Assault SMG we already have.

i for one love the Special Carbine we got on a previous update. it quickly became my prefered weapon. but this one doesnt look too special. but that could all change once we fire it...

It'd be cool if we could get something unique and new and not another AR. Maybe a new flamethrower or stinger rocket-launcher. New stuff is great, but better new stuff would be greater.

Looks like a FAMAS? In the words of the great Yahtzee Croshaw, "f***ing SOLD!!"

Plus, the benefit, as with the Special Carbine before it, is that it's great for a second character - I just recently created one, and it makes a real difference, having a gun comparable to the Carbine Rifle, but from Day 1.

That is not a FAMAS that is a Chinese assault rifle specifically the QBZ 95. However, it looks to have a shorter barrel like the 95-B. Considering pretty much every weapon in GTAV is a hybrid this fits pretty well.

looks fine to me. i love weapons way more than vehicles. cant wait to see what the last 2 will be. and since it looks like an F1, im pretty sure that it will fire in 3-round bursts, which should make things interesting. i just hope that the last 2 weapons are a revolver and either a new sniper or a new heavy weapon. preferably an anti-tank weapon.

Personally, I feel the gun is ugly as all f*ck. Also it doesn't really fit in GTA. It's not really "gangsta gun" or really used at all by criminals and it isn't very high tech or modern (like the Advanced Rifle based on the Tavor series of rifles) I'm honestly a little disappointed same with Special Carbine. Well, considering that most guns/vehicles in GTA are like a mash-up of two different things (Ocelot F620 is a Jaguar XK X150 with a Maserati GT front end, Lazer is an F-16 with an F-35 rear, etc.), it's probably fair to call it a fusion of the two. Kinda like QMZ detailing mixed with FAMAS geometry.

The special carbine at least sounds cool. As does the pump shotgun. I still use the OG pistol most. I'm a bit of a cheapskate.

BTW, I wish they would stop giving these weapons to newcomers. There's no point in the SMG's if you're just going to give them high-powered assault rifles for the get-go. Having to earn them & unlock their tints makes them valueable. I have yet to buy any DLC weapon because of this.

Indeed they were. Its sad that I still know exactly where you are on that map aswell. But I couldnt care less for new guns or gimmicks I want new missions and content. Preferably not pvp crap either. So bored of it.

It's great. Not many current players today know that map's stance as a classic or it's history. I preferred de-aztec, cs_747 or cs_assault always though.

 

Personally, I do sorta care about the guns, if there was anything special to them. But they are all basically the same. The fact they have nothing to unlock or there's no requirements for them just makes them fodder to me though.

 

New missions would be cool.
