Why doesn't anybody play Versus Mission?

Theres a few gametypes I always get put in by myself for but the one that irks me is Versus Mission, probably the most fun gametype online right now. Is everybody just sick of it? I'm sure yall have a reason as to why you don't play it.

Friendly Lava Lamp

Because the majority of GTA online players only play a select few missions/ races/ activities. Also matchmaking is horrible in this game, I sat in a race lobby for 35 minutes waiting for just one other person to join. I had auto invite and play as well as invited everyone in my lobby and skill matched players. People might have tried to play but realized they weren't able to find a game because no one else played it.

I like them, but yeah, they aren't really played.

My guess is that kids people simply don't like to play with rules or guidelines. They want the lowest common denominator type environment...thus, they resort to free-roam killing.

Assuming we are thinking of the same VS missions here (Crooked Cop et al), then personally I don't think they pay out nearly well enough for the kind of effort they have required based on my own experiences.

Also it can turn into a grief fest i played on VS mission it was just 20 minutes of us non-stop killing each other or the cop killing us every time we tried to grab the package

It's been a while since I played one but is there a time limit to these?

A full lobby of Crooked Cop is a madhouse, haha.

Yes, but none of these game modes are so amazingly fun that it completely negates the sh*tty payout they have. Especially how easy it is to blow through ammo in scenarios that AiraCobra mentioned.

Everybody's busy grindin

This is pretty much it. The matchmaking would have been much better without the stupid high level unlocks. By the time you finally get them, you're too burnt out to care about competition.

Then they lose your high level stats, and it kills the game.

GTA isn't really smooth enough for competitive gameplay IMO. It is unbalanced as hell, the gunplay is one sided and unfair(particularly because of the aiming on the right shoulder)... I never thought any Rockstar game ever had strong gunplay for competition. Even Max Payne 3.

The only missions I really have fun with are the ones where one team has jets, and the other has to run from them, I believe you're in dirt bikes.

Low Payouts, Trolls, and usually the first Buzzard to show up always wins...

Nope no time limit whoever delivers the package first wins.

That's why people are doing the afk crooked cop one because they get unlimited RP

I like going into the menu and selecting Job then Mission to join a random mission someone is hosting, because it's a team of players against the computer and you (99% of the time) don't have to watch your back for the other players trying to kill you, so it irks me when I get dumped into a LTS or a versus mission. I quit out asap as those are not the types of jobs I like doing.
