Anyone know what the heck happening to this mission? I just realized that I haven't played or been offered it in the longest time so I decided to check the mission list and it isn't there.

 

For those who aren't familiar with the missing mission:

 

"Lamar has bad news. His friend Leroy got beat up and kidnapped by the Ballas. Lamar can't go there, but he orders the team to rescue him. The Ballas got Leroy in a van and they're moving north at the Great Ocean Highway outside Los Santos. The team needs to kill the Ballas who are driving and rescue Leroy and take him to his store, the Leroy's Electricals, in Strawberry. On the way to his store, several Ballas will chase after the player and Leroy, killing them or eliminating them, when the player gets Leroy to the store, the mission is complete."

 

When was this removed? Did I not get the memo?

I hated how the NPC drivers ran Leroy over. i think it was one of the RP glitched missions iirc.

Last time i played it we shot the driver and passenger then all the sudden Leroy jumped out of the back of the van hijacked a car and then we had to chase after him and had to smash him into a wall before he finally got out and out into our car

It's a Lamar mission too, and they removed the ability to request jobs from him a long time ago... that's going to complicate things. Unless I'm missin' something.

I did it again about a week ago and there's a buttload of SUVs turn up once you grab Leroy. Really isn't worth the effort.

I just played it thanks to the help of a friend. At least 9 SUVs tried to kill me. On top of that, it's a 1-2 player mission

Lol, the last time I did this mission when back in October & haven't seen it since.. 9 enemy SUVs in a 1-2 player mission is absurd..

This mission was a nightmare for me cause of the ridiculous enemy spawns accompanied with their aimbot drive-by aiming.

When i'm bored i like to do it with a buzzard...

 

I land well ahead of where the van and i snipe the driver and then i pick Leroy up in the buzzard and i wait for all the SUV to come and i blow em all up

Just drive into an alley with a chokepoint.
Leroy will take cover and you can just shoot all the motherf*ckers who drive up and try to shoot you with their dumb-ass Micro-SMG's.

I just got this off Lamar and it's back on my list now. It's as terrible as you all remember.

It isn't. The boosting gasoline tanker missions are much much better.
