You guys don't understand how brilliant rockstar is. All of you that say GTA V is a terrible game, I bet you're all gonna take that back. Think about this for a minute. GTA V is the most expensive game ever made, $265 million to make. Do you guys really think that the GTA V as of right now is all rockstar has to offer? It's not even close lol. Grand Theft Auto V will be one of the best Sandbox Games ever on both Console and PC.

 

Yea, things may seem extremely boring in GTA now, but do you really think that this is rockstars intention? They are trying to make this one of the best video games ever made, and it will be. They can add new clothes, new weapons, new vehicles, new pedestrians, new music, new jobs and other stuff any time they want with ease. If they can do all of that, don't you think that it's possible that there could be DLC's containing different Cities that we could fly to & ride to which contain another story with Michael, Trevor and Franklin (& maybe even others?, that would be cool), and with all of rockstars money they used to make the game and how much money they made off the game, I'm pretty sure we are all in for in for a very cool, unexpected suprise.

 

This is what I think: The heists are the part of the game that will change all your negative opinions about GTA. GTA online is basically still in Beta and there is so much that we havnt seen that they have planned for I dont know, 5 years? Please refer to Rockstar's GTA Online gameplay vid on YouTube. They really made it look like it was supposed to be a paradise. But I think we can all agree that GTA Online as of right now is just full of Douche bags in tanks, killing you over and over, sweaty little fat kids trynna get their k/d up.... and for what?

 

Wouldn't it be cool if after each completion of a heist, we unlock that interior on free mode and we can go inside whenever? Oh wait.... as we all start to come to the realization that Rockstar are very sneaky clever people, we can probably expect all of that because this is one of the biggest, best games that people will always remember. This game is going to be legendary. Think about it, do you really think Rockstar spent 5 years on a game to make 1 city, with 1 story and expect us to play GTA V for a few more years without getting bored? Again, refer to their GTA online video. They said they will be constantly updating thihngs, so we should be seeing new and cooler things throughout the years we play GTA V. Hell, I even think that maybe later on they will add an edit mode, and you can do whatever you want. Like mods on a PC. You can spawn and place anything (In Free mode), then spawn right away and test out what you just created. I mean, we have a race and deathmatch creator, I wouldnt be suprised if they did put in an edit mode. Maybe a theater mode on the PS4 or Xbox one if the 360 couldnt handle all of it. All of these things that we all expected GTA to turn out to be, probably will most likely turn out what we all expected it to be. So whoever hating on GTA V and Rockstar now, just calm down and take a deep breath because Rockstar knows exactly what they're doing.

GTA 5 is a great game.

GTA:Online not so much. And you've got to be delusional to think it's going to be any different than it is now in five years, if it's even still running in five years. Any other online game using the microtransaction system will be CONSTANTLY updating the game--weekly patches, big ones monthly. They keep the playerbase well informed about upcoming content to keep them interested. The fact that Rockstar has been damned silent and hasn't done sh*t for patches in ages shows they've already given up on the game and they're working with probably a skeleton crew.

Great optimism OP I think some of the views you expressed may be true. After all this damn game has not even been out FOR 6 MONTHS YET. The game is still extremely young. Do you think rockstar is just sitting on thier asses twiddling their thumbs? I think not. DLC's have probably been pushed back way further than expected due to the exploitation of loop holes in programming that rockstar now has to try to find and patch themselves before DLC is released. Yeah they should of had all angles covered but I believe they have big things planned.

I didn't read all of this but i put a little phrase in bold. when R* first launched GTA:O they spoke of it as a separate entity from gta5. R* also spoke of adding different cities to GTA:O. so it will happen when is just a matter of time

Love your optimism, OP.
But i think you're really stretching. They do want to deliver a great product, but the things you're hoping for, the majority at least, are not going to happen.
That said, i really don't know why people doubt this MP portion will last. IV is still strong.

They don't have to...but they are.
Maybe it's not anything that's to tailored to your liking. But they are most certainly active on it. Name one other game out now that has it's dev house more busy that R* with V.

I agree OP. I mean, Los Santos is a cluster f*ck currently with the city wide death match in every sever you get in to, however you do get lucky and get in to one with players who are actively talking with words acceptable in church and who are having fun with the game in free roam. R* has already put a TON of content in online already and have tried to fix all the glitches, but with any online game this huge their will always be people looking for ways to cheat the system and glitch. Like the OP, I believe we are in for a treat with this game and their are big things in store for many years. This period we are in is result of the DNS servers and game breaking hacks and glitches, it's taking a lot of effort on R* part to patch and correct these and is pushing bigger content like heist to the back burner. Long reply and I apologize, but I'm excited for what's in store.

I've done some highly scientific trending computation based on the increasing amount of effort Rockstar has expended so far on DLC, and my results show that this is their plan:

 

1. Beach Bum DLC

2. Valentines Massacre DLC

3. Business Pack DLC

4. Combined Liberty CIty, Las Venturas, San Fierro and Vice City DLC

5. Some new background music for online missions

Gta Online is about a career criminal trying to rise up the ranks to be top dog, Zombies would just ruin the game.

 

Now if they changed the map to an Earthquake aftermath map for a week (We're talking about an analogue of Los Angeles here) might work, and give the squeakers like yourself, Foleydelphia, that apocalyptic feeling you're all begging for
