It's time for an Aircraft DLC

Enough with the ground warfare weapons, we need a DLC that allows us to purchase planes, upgrade them, add weapons on them, and our crew emblem on them.

 

A classic WWII bomber/gunner plane dogfight to the death? Much more fun than any cannons or auto aim rockets.

They'll have to buff the range of bullets to a usable range first, you have to be ridiculously close with a jet for the bullets to actually impact, otherwise they just disappear into thin air after a stupidly short distance

Are you guys forgetting something that could be entirely possible though?

 

You remember the gun run missions that Trevor does in the airplane and he has one mission where he drops bombs?

 

I see no possible reason why they couldn't bring that into MP as it is already coded into the game it could be a peggy vehicle but of course it would only have 6 bombs like it does in the mission.

We already have a version of the Hydra i don't think we need another jet in the game

How? You can snipe a lazer from miles away.

 

Only sniper and projectile rounds have a long range, regular guns and the jet cannon and helicopter miniguns have a tiny limited range

 

If you try and shoot something with the jet's cannon it won't do anything unless you are stupidly close (around 150m or so I'd guess), the same applies to infantry weapons as well, try shooting a jet with the minigun and you will only get a couple of hits before it travels out of range immediately

A bomber? How about an AC130 that has a minigun, a 102mm howitzer and a 40 mm grenade launcher operated by 3 friends while you fly the plane? Or maybe an old school Wright brothers style bird that can only drop Molotovs from loooow altitudes?

While these all seem like excellent ideas. Let us not forget about the butthurt people, that would complain about getting killed by all these aircraft on a regular basis. Also, we might as well just call this game:

Agree with OP about customizing aircraft aesthetics. Would give a more personal feel to them.

 

For example if there are several buzzards in the air around you, seeing one painted your crew colour would make differentiating between them easier as colored blips are no longer present.

 

Im the pilot in my crew and one of my main jobs is landing planes in the city for extraction, i can land a plane almost anywhere but i wish the planes i flew had bonus features to make my job easier.

We dont need more air vehicles. The map is too small for that, you can fly but you cant land anywhere since you can only visit LS.

 

If they add hydra and hunter, please with no guns for the pilot but all the guns for the passenger. Too much kids will fly em.

Hydra is a VTOL, something making it pretty unique when compared to other planes.

 

Give us a flyable version of that passenger jet we see in Bury the Hatchet and the GTA Online intro. And add one or two spawn points for the 747 in MP ffs.

 

Hunter, Hydra, I'm down for that. I think there also was a second private jet seen in one of the early Shamal screenshots. Bring that one back, too. The more planes, the better.
