Nope. I might, possibly, be stupid but that wasn't the reason. In fact, there were two.

 

1) I was trying to create a topic that would be blatantly, obviously an April fools topic. Providing 'evidence' that disproved my claim was part of that along with including the words "not April fools" in the title.

 

2) for anyone who was actually tempted to believe me, the words "three months ago" function as a substitute for me popping out from behind their monitor and saying "ha ha fooled you".

 

Arguably I've succeeded on both fronts, based on the comments so far. If only it wasn't April 2nd.

Sex helps me sleep at night. I know how to post images and have taught several others in the Surfer thread alone.

 

I knew this would probably need explaining. I knew that explaining would do no good, as I would have to wait until afterwards and people would view it as making excuses for failing. Ultimately my goal was to mock stupidly obvious April fools topics and in that, it seems, I have failed.
