Create a new character, then do him however you want ( this won't be how you look). 2. Then accept , then click A. When it says 'Do you want to skip the tutorial'' Click A and wait til it says this is your only chance to change appearance and remove your Ethernet cable directly. Don't put it back in because it will ask you to connect. 3.It will bring you to story mode, and then you have to plug on your Ethernet cable and connect to PS3 or xbox live. 4.Click ''Choose character'' and then click on your character the one you want to change and it will give you the chance to change your Gta Online appearance. Will report back soon with:-Does this work?-Does this remove special clothing? (Lost the Valentines Day car so don't know for that one)-Is this worth it and easy to do?Give me like 20 minutes *edit*I don't play as much so I don't care TOO much if I lose my stuff (I'd still be a bit pissed).This is my character: This is my character AFTER the glitch: *just a quick change, nothing amazing* Spawned in my Granger (pictured next to me), called Mechanic and Pegasus, have all my cars. Went to store, have all my clothes. Stats were the same even if I played with them (they didn't really change anything but I only played with one, didn't want to f*ck that up).So, female: AM I PRETTY?! As I was taking that last picture, a guy blew up my Granger outside, honked when he saw a was a chick until I got in. Gave me a ride around asking in the mic if I was a chick. He must of gone in 1st person and looked back because he said, "ah, what the f*ck man!" and kicked me out of his car. So yeah, this works! I'm super glad because I got this game (in my signature) that you can hide using peds and someone has to find you. So that's really cool. Hope R* don't patch this, it's what GTA needs. Give me like 20 minutes From the few posts already, I'm sure it does work and It looks simple. I think if you keep the same gender you won't lose anything(not sure though), but I think if you change genders there might be a chance you lose all your clothing due to not being able to wear opposite gender's clothing. So what I suggest doing is first just change the character's look and check all your clothing make sure its there. Then change genders proceeding to check to see if you have all the clothing lastly change back to your original gender and see if you have all the clothing from before still(if you don't have any clothing when changing to opposite gender) Edited April 2, 2014 by KennethMBB 1 Link to post Share on other sites

I can't unplug my ethernet so signing out is a much easier and simpler way to do it. Why do you think people seem to prefer to unplug the ethernet when signing out is easier? Just an FYI, 100% guarantee you when it says "Unplug Ethernet cord", all you have to do on the PS3 is press the PS button and log out of PSN. Xbox doesn't have a log out feature so they have to disconnect internet by unplugging Ethernet. Link to post Share on other sites

I don't own an xbox, but from what I heard, you can't dashboard and logout. Are you saying you can? If you can then what would be the point of unplugging your Ethernet? I remember some glitches requiring the ethernet to be pulled though, so possibly the founder of this glitch just never bothered to test if it works with signing out as well. If you change gender you obviously do not have access to your old wardrobe BUT if you were to revert back to original gender all your clothes are still there. Also Xbox users who are connected to wifi can simply plug an Ethernet cable into a laptop or simply disconnect the router at the required time. I hope this clears up the confusion =] this glitch has been around for a while, me and my crew used to use it a lot during release. And you guys wonder why heists aren't out yet...
