when doing a one on one dm do you get put in a seperate session?

about a half hour ago i just got done playing some gta o, i was in a session that had a tank griefer who was blowing up other players (i was one of them, but after that everytime i saw him i fled).

but later i was killed by another player (who i challenged to one on one, he accepted) i killed him 3 times but he kept getting blown up by the tank griefer (i heard the explosions but i didn't see him on the minimap).

Nope. Same session, you just can't see the others, use that to your advantage when friends or crewmembers or in the same session

no which is kinda dumb as any one can interfere with the death match...

Right, no. And it's very lame because you loose all blips on the map except yours and your opponent, allowing any near-by players to get involved without being seen on radar.

I don't really get it. How it is a good tactic to be seen from anybody, but not seeing other players? Please explain!
